A lot happened in the second part of this year, big fights and big talking points .. makes last summer seem like a looooong time ago.

I gave Floyd some stick here for his comments after Davis/Walsh, for 2 reasons; Tank was a title holder in Loma's division, and he looked so good against Liam Walsh - who is a decent little fighter - that I would have made him 50/50 with Loma back then.

But like I said, a lot has happened since then.

This fight won't happen; at least not now. Mikey left top rank because of money issue. Not getting what he feel he deserves. Rigo got $400k for the loma fight. I can tell you now Mikey won't entertain the fight without being guaranteed AT LEAST $1.5 mil. This will happen when it builds up to a PPV fight.

400k wasnt a rip off at all for Rigo, he was fighting on undercards making 100k a fight. His fighting style is too boring, he has such a small fanbase, Loma was the draw in this fight. In a fight vs. Mikey Loma isnt the only one bringing fans. Arum has no problem paying good money to get big fights done. When Gamboa left to Sms promotions Arum was willing to pay Gamboa a higher split of the purse to fight Mikey and that was the reason Mikey gave for ducking the fight. It was still a career high payday of 1 mill and if he would have won that fight like Crawford did and stuck with Top Rank he would have been fighting on Ppv already. Anyways my point is Arum doesnt hold grudges when it comes to making big fights. Loma Garcia is the fight everyone wants to see, it might even be a Ppv fight in the fall Arum will pay

It can go either way. You can wait to build the fight up or you can take a gamble and throw him in there. I don’t believe Tank has a chance at the moment. 50-50 is being generous.

You can find hours of footage on Youtube of Mayweather giving one reason after another of why he didnt want to fight Pacquiao. When it came to negotiations Pacquiao agreed to fight with a week cutoff day and a test after the fight too and Mayweather backed out. Meanwhile Usada came to his house before the Pacquiao fight and Mayweather had them wait while he got massive amounts of saline and vitamins pumped into his veins. All is relative, right? If Loma made $1.2 million last fight, then $3.5 million to Mikey would be quite astronomical, yes.
So, money is obviously an issue. Weight category is another issue, for example.
But why lie saying that "Arum won't allow it to happen"?

Exactly! Mikey sounding like guys on this message board. Remember when many guys on here said Arum would never allow Lom in the ring with Rigo?!! Imagine if all those fans and Mikey had to bet their cars, bank accounts, etc, on that? After Lom stepped into the ring with Rigo, those fans would be broke and homeless. If all Arum did was lie, there would be no fights, no one would work with him. He is obviously making fights. Mikey needs to negotiate with his management team and do this like a pro in an office round table meeting, not complain to some journalist.
