Neither are a true international star like a Mayweather, or Pacquiao.

I think Daniel Dubois, Michael Conlan, and maybe Lomachenko.
He ain’t making anywhere near Canelo money. Canelo sold over 2 million PPV’s this year at around $80 each plus huge tv money from Mexico and also Canadian PPV and UK PPV amongst others he’s on a whole different level to AJ. AJ is a legit mega star in the UK though and is making a hell of a lot of money. But nowhere near as much as Canelo, the US PPV market is a MUCH BIGGER industry than the UK PPV market.
I dunno whether Conlan has the ability to be a mega star tbh, he has the personality and draws very well for a guy only having 6 rounders but I’m skeptical as to whether he can actually compete at elite level, only time will tell I guess.

what do you mean the "mainstream stars are retired"?

          there's still canelo and golovkin.

and on the rise we have Tomoki Kameda and Naoya Inoue

sorry guys but loma nor crawford will ever be stars.

loma, a) does not speak a lick of english, b) fights in a smaller weight class that americans don't seem to care about for some reason, c) has a slick pitty pat style over an aggressive power puncher style.

crawford is just too inactive and doesn't have the personality.

I don't know. For their "mega fights" like Joshua vs Klitschko, I bet Joshua took home upwards of 20 million.

Canelo probably made more against GGG and Chavez Jr., doe..

Joshua vs Fury would be HUGE. He could make upwards of 50 million.

Garcia is far from a C level fighter, c’mon man, your just coming across very negative and bias saying stuff like that. He’s a 2 weight world champion FFS
                Can't tell if serious.

Danny Garcia is the definition of a hypejob and Keith had a good plan against him, but looked far from unbeatable...running away the last 2 rounds, making it a closer fight. And it was a close fight despite Keith edging the rounds.

Shawn Porter mugged Keith and pressed the fight just like MarGGGarito did against Ca$hnelo...MarGGGarito and Porter were both mostly unsuccessful. Nonetheless both fights were close although the boxer - Ca$hnelo and Keith edged those fights.

Keith is a hypejob and Deontay is a windmill job

Yeah AJ vs Wilder would be HUGE also AJ has massive earning potential, he needs to crack the US market though to make the real mega money though

You can;t be a mainstream star if you're not seen often enough.
So no it won't be from the Haymon/Espinoza camp.

u also gotta figure the standard promoter cut is 27%. Both have promoters, Matchroom for Joshua, and GBP for Canelo.

so if Canelo GGG did 1.3 million, and Canelo got 70% of the cut that would be 72,000,000 (at 80 a buy). Gate was 27 million, so 70% of that would be about 19 million. that is 91,000,000; 90 million X 27% = about 25 million.

So it's safe to say before taxes and any other expenses Canelo made about 65 million.

Wait, wait, doe. The cable companies keep about half of the money, don't they? I'm also guessing MGM Grand gets a cut of the gate revenue.

So of that 130,000,000 the pot split between GGG and Canelo was probably more like 80 million (being generous).

So Cannel's chunk would be 56,000,000. Then take 27% for GBP, and he is left with 41 million.

And that is before any other fees he might have like manager fees (not sure who/if he has a manager).

So it's safe to say Canelo made about 41 million for GGG (before taxes, of course).

If Joshua made 20 million POUNDS against Klitschko, that's like 28 million USD.

SO for their MEGA FIGHTS, I'd say they are pretty close.

But you are right, OVERALL, Canelo is the bigger star. I agree.
