It was stated by Atlas and others that Crawford was having a hard time making 140.

Ok.

If Crawford was already struggling so much that there were questions about him making the weight, why are folks trying to stir stuff up?

Mikey's currently floating 135/140, until he likely has to make the move to 140lbs permanent in another year or so.

Man, this move is disappointing. So he's staying at 140 then? Not that this is an awful fight, but there are better ones out there. I really wanted fights with Easter, Linares and Loma. A damn shame.

Man I was hoping this fight was for a champion in the lightweight division so it could set up a Loma vs Miey battle summer of 2018, hopefully that is still a possibility but never the less he's fighting at 140 again for a title can't be too mad.. He should be able to drop back down to 135 and face no mas chenko

He fought the best in his division at 135 and 140. When has Garcia ever done that in any weight division he has ever fought at. I don't give a **** about the various reasons(money) why the fights didn't happen. You either did or didn't.

You could almost say that Garcia is a 'great Mexican hope', or 'Mexican hype'. He certainly is filling in that market that don't like watching 'gringos' and 'blacks' fight.

Gambia was inactive and had to jump up to a weight class that Crawford was bursting at the seems that's daring to be great now, . Pistol has 1 decent win over Lucas who has shown to always come up short in title fights. Crawford moved up to 140 when it became absolutely barren of talent and was the worst division in boxing. Yeah that's daring to be great. Lipinets would probably beat the Dog sh.it out of Postol who's fought 2 fights in 2 years and 5 in 4 years

I'm a Crawford fan but we don't know where he stands until he fights the best at 147 which given Top Ranks history probably won't happen

Mikey/ Lipinets is a better fight then Crawford / Indongo/Diaz/Molina/Lundy /Dulhorme /Postol.

I know I dont hold Crawford as highly regarded as most others do, but I still recognize hes a good fighter and I would hope people wouldnt use his resume to prop him up. The same people criticizing Golovkin for trying to unify his garbage division are the same ones trying to make Crawford unifying 140 to be the 12 Labors of Hercules. Unifying only means something when the top guys in it actually mean something. Dulorme, Postol, and Indongo are not it.

Crawford's true standing will come at 147, and thats if hes not facing the usual TR subjects for the entirety of his time there.

Yes, this fight sucks, Im pretty disappointed by it, but that probably has more to do with it being a Garcia fight. If it was against someone else this would be a great fight.

Good fight. 4 divisions that quick he only fought once at 135 and never grew into it so it could be interesting because Lipenetz looked good in his last fight.
