They both pretty much priced themselves out from fighting Mikey. Linares with Oscar wanting options and then asking for a 50/50 split for a one off fight knowing that Linares isn't a big draw. They knew Mikey/Linares would sell out in SoCal where Linares barely had 2k for his last fight at the Forum.

You got your facts wrong.There WAS NO DEAL for future fights.And BOTH Mikey and his brother said it was a good deal.GB asked for future fights when they offered him Cotto but NOT Linares.And are you sayin Lip is bigger name then Linares?Mikey is cherry picking titles there is no other way to spin this sry.It also ended any chance for Loma fight.IF Mikey wanted to win title at 140 he could have had a shot at them all right after broner fight with Crawford.Its a duck and defending it just makes it all thay much easier for next guy.Btw I like Mikey but the truth is the truth.If this is the way he is gonna run the rest of his career I don't care to see him anymore.

Loma has been saying he wants to fight Mikey since last year. Like Mikey and Robert said, if he was serious about that he could have moved up this year and tested himself against other 135 lbs fighters to get acclimated. But Loma didn't, he kept bringing up smaller fighters up to 130 to fight. Loma is on record that he wouldn't go to 135 and have his first fight against Mikey. We all now that Loma will end up fighting another 130 no hoper and then move up to fight Beltran for the WBO title at 130.

I have NO PROB with Loma staying where he is at his right weight and CLEANING UP div.Thats what Mikey should have done(Linares,Easter and then Loma)instead of cherrypicking title with another guy WHO IS MADE 4 HIM.

You're right, 140 division is weak and Lipnets is a paper champ. Lipnets fought Kondo for the title and BoxRec has him ranked at 72.
That said, Lipnets is fun to watch but he's a couple of levels below Garcia.

Agree Konda was no where NEAR top 10.But be careful taking rating off Boxrec great place for records but their ratings are a joke.Canelo PFP#1 and errol Spence rated 6th with Horn #2 at 147.THE RINGS or TRANS or only real ratings and until I see GB influence on ratings I like THE RINGS.

I don't mind Lipinets, although i think Garcia will win comfortably. Bit of a come down from Linares then Easter, but we will see.

Not sure what everybody's crying about. Lipinets vs Mikey is a good fight, there are better fights out there, but it's a fun action fight

Because real fans want to see best fight best and Mikey just ducked about 3 guys with one move lol.But your right about it being an action fight.And maybe Mikey will hit wall with a nat 140pder.But this guy is a mile away whenit comes to skill and MADE for Mikey(slow feet easy too hit)

We knew this about him when he avoided the Gamboa fight years back. Crawford dared to be great unlike Garcia and look how their respective careers have played out at the same age.

I'm a fan of Crawford but how exact did he dare to be great? He didn't fight murderers row at 140.
