Every fight that’s not a super fight sucks these days it seems. Then the same people will cry if a guy sits out waiting for a big fight. Then they’ll proclaim them the GOAT and a p4p number 1 after it anyway.

So much truth here. It's funny, if you pull the resume of some "legends" you quickly realize that what's happening today is nothing new at all. The social media/fanboyism from the Mayweather v Pac era has caused a lot of this stuff imo. But I wasn't around this forum before that so that's just a theory I have.

Those are good questions. I'm assuming Easter wanted minimum a $1 million. (Probably $1.5 million) He sold some solid tickets in Ohio (2x) and has a belt. Probably feels like he needs to get a solid pay day if he's going to risk the belt.

We know that Mikey is getting minimum $1.5 million for this fight. I think it's probably more considering the recent comments about money.

That would make it a pricey card for Showtime. I'm assuming when we see the purse totals, it won't be higher than $2.5 million total for the whole card.

Obviously I'm speculating, but for these unification fights, Haymon's guys have gotten some solid $. So i think my assumptions are close to the actual numbers.

Its cherry picking titles that's all and that's it.This slow footed square fighter.Lipinets is a good fighter but is MADE for MG.Lets see salido,R matinez,DZ what do they ALL have in common?Slow feet and square Linares(who I think MG could have beat)has the footwork to give mikey probs early at least.Even Easter with his size and right hand would have been tougher.Mikey too me seems like he has NO INTEREST in proving he is the best.Its ALL about trying to get himself in position to make one big payday and be done.Too bad COULD HAVE been one of the greats.Now just a very good fighter who missed out on big part of career and DONT HAVE ANY interest in proving just how good he COULD have been.
