Thirdly the more he promotes himself the bigger the attraction he will become, that will make it easier to get big fights and more money. The less he promotes himself the more reason fighters have not to fight him since it won't be on TV; it also will be high risk low reward.
The more he promotes himself to whom? The Casuals? In Spanish? Are you kidding me? Every boxing fan knows about Rigo, the boxing industry knows about Rigo. Stop with the BS. We had Cotto in his farewell fight barely doing 1 mil in viewership. There are no stars in boxing and no good promotion besides Canelo.

Dorticos vs Murat is not even going to be on on Amercian TV. So a 37 year old defensive fighter who speaks no English and the industry is already against him, is gonna gain a lot of casuals by going to some last minute ESPN meeting? Who gave you common sense or who took it away from you?

All they will do to Rigo at ESPN will be talking about him being boring and boring, so he will lose more casual fans.

True but am sure he is getting paid the same regardless.

Same, the only thing that would even make me think this is real is Rigo when asked about the weight hes been saying things like don't be shocked i might weigh more then Loma and they have a surprise. But still don't buy it.

          For this fight sure.

Then Rigo goes back to whining and crying that nobody wants to fight him after this fight.

So as a long term decision it's not a good decision.

It is what it is. Guillermo isn’t long for the boxing world, win, lose or draw this Saturday. He’s a wasted talent.
I would not call him wasted talent because a very good group of fighters ducked him(leo, framp, mares)to name a few.Esp if he wins then I would say lost talent maybe but most of that falls at the feet of the fighters that ducked him and the biased writers that helped them get away with it(Dougie Fisher,Dan Rafeal). Its the reason I hope Loma beats him because what a ***IN SHAME that a guy that beat 2 top 5 PFP in their prime one who was 2 div bigger never got the shot to prove how great he really is.I mean how the hell do you rate guy if he pulls this off.

Loma is going to make Rigo quit! He’s mentally defeated already!

Maybe his alarm went off in English and not Spanish so he ignored it and went back to sleep.

You've proven that you'd suck the guy off if given the opportunity so don't bother people who are trying to have a reasonable discussion.
I don't remember ever disagreeing with you so vehemently but this is it? So doesn't respect Rigo? He has the weight, the age, THE NETWORK and even the sanctioning bodies against him, yet he still eats to be great. That deserves nothing but respect and admiration among us all.

Not sure exactly what you're saying (2nd sentence is incomplete) but the part you quoted is me responding to a fanboy who freaked out at me for saying I wouldn't approve of Rigo ditching a promotional event. If that's what Rigo did, just because he didn't feel liner it, I think it's a ****** move. I'm doubting that's what happened, which is why I bought up the fact that I'm concerned he's have a health issue this week.

If you think I don't respect Rigo something like that, please explain. I do think Loma is going to win this weekend, but that has nothing to do with who I respect or what I want to happen.
