Would like to at least wait for an explanation before passing judgement. People are too quick to make asses of themselves by making assumptions before finding out what's going on.

I'm mostly curious if he's having health/weight issues. Not that they'd come out and say that. "Travel problems" usually = weight/health issues.

He is a professional fighter with one job. There isn't really a reasonable explanation for not showing up.

Exactly! Why is he going to promote anything for Arum or ESPN, they are the ones that got him blacklisted and asked him to move up 2 divisions to fight their # 1 p4p fighter. This is not a pay per view fight and if they didn't bother to have the press conferences in his contract, screw them!

Firstly Rigo didn't want to fight Loma at 126. Secondly Rigo was calling him out now that he is basically out of other options.
Thirdly the more he promotes himself the bigger the attraction he will become, that will make it easier to get big fights and more money. The less he promotes himself the more reason fighters have not to fight him since it won't be on TV; it also will be high risk low reward.

Rigo is struggling to make 130 lbs so his team withdrew from Media Day to concentrate on bringing down his weight.

I know Rigo is a career 122lb fighter but his team bulked him up to 140 lbs and were planning to bring him down slowly this week to 130lbs but his body isn't responding and his team are now panicking as they don't want Rigo to have to lose lots of weight pre weigh-in.

Don't be surprised if Rigo doesn't make weight on Friday.

I don’t think Rigo believes any of it makes a difference anymore, and I don’t disagree. Nothing he can do (or at least is willing to do) is likely to please the powers-that-be. It is what it is. Guillermo isn’t long for the boxing world, win, lose or draw this Saturday. He’s a wasted talent.
