Yeah i remember him saying once his idol growing up was Mike Tyson. No surprise when you see him fighting like this.

He doesnt tend to fight like that in the pros (even if he retains some of the moves), but in this fight I think he will bring it back.

One worry fighting this style is that he would be squared up and vulnerable to the counter left to the body Rigo loves to throw. Accuracy and the element of surprise is more important than force for a body shot, so Rigos size disadvantage may not count for as much there. Loma is in incredible condition though so i seriously doubt it would be a game changer even if he can land it.

I think it will be clear after a couple of rounds, if Loma can take Rigo's left, he'll walking down and probably will stop Rigo late, if Loma is rocked by that left, his activity will go down a lot and will do just enough to win a very boring decision. Rigo's only chance is an early ko, probably to the body, otherwise he'll have to knock Loma down almost every round to get a decision.

I kind of want Rigo to win, and win big, just to throw it in Bob Arum's face again, like he did vs. Nonito Donaire.
I think this fight could go either way. Lomo is bigger and has a huge work rate, Rigo is a "runner" with good defense and a good counter. I'm leaning towards Lomo but I'd like to see Rigo pull it off.

Mayweather wasn’t on his bike for 12 rounds throughout his career. The guy may not be as awesome as he and his fanboys think he is, but Floyd was pretty great. And despite a “defense first” mentality, Mayweather and Rigo do not fight alike.

People must not have watched the Donaire, Agbeko, Amagasa, ****ens, and Flores fights. If that is running, that is a strange definition. He was in front of those guys most of the time. Its just Arum and others putting together a false narative

"If Rigo wants to beat Lomachenko he will have to come and fight, you can’t be on your bicycle for 12 rounds and think you’ve won.* He has to come and fight if he wants to be victorious.” -Cicilio Flores

In other words: You cant box, land punches & make lomo miss to win....

Rigondeaux vs lomo, bob arum, fat rafael, espn, hbo & the wba.
