We'll see. I predict one of these outcomes -

Chess match, Rigo is a little too conservative after getting buzzed and Loma wins around 118-110 maybe with a knockdown. The general consensus is that it was a 9-3/10-2 type fight.

Your claim - Rigo won 116-112.

Or Loma stops him after Rigo doesn't handle the power well enough.

Your claim the weight difference and that Rigo was ahead on points.

So youre telling me, the guy who fights TWO weight classes higher than his opponent doesnt want his opponent to resort to using boxing skill, and just come forward, to the bigger man...hmmmmm

Truth in advertising: I am a Lomachenko fan, am all in on his talent and charm, and totally am cheering for him to win and move up in division for some more huge names "hopefully" after a big win over a huge name opponent in boxing circles.

That being said: What I love about this fight? Reading through these threads on different days this fight has near equal arguments about who will win. Yes, Loma is younger and slightly bigger, but at this weight I think Rigo's power comes along fairly nicely and his skills will not lay off one bit. Yes, I questioned his power in a post about a month ago. Have watched some of his fights since and apologized. He has some serious snap to his short punches I never gave enough credit to. Besides, Rigo HAS to know this is his last big chance to stamp his legacy and secure paydays for the back end of his career. I think he goes all in, throwing caution away and fighting as aggressive as his style and training will allow him. Sure, a fighter is a fighter and he can't throw away years of training for one fight. Rigo will be cautious and he will look to counter Loma and out work him defensively because that is who he is. But I bet he throws way more punches than his average and is much more aggressive as the fight progresses because of the huge number of eyeballs ESPN offers with literally NO football to compete with. This is broadcast TV. It will be the biggest stage either of them have ever had. I am really hopeful for a great fight for boxing's sake. I won't say 50/50, but no worse than 60/40.

Lomachenko by UD with Rigo taking quite a few rounds, especially in the mid portion of the fight. Loma hits big shots early and takes most of the late rounds with a little less flair than usual but no less dominate down the stretch. Maybe a knock down late of Rigo late, more likely just a total performance where he gets clean shots and some nice work along the ropes.
