It's in that order who proved to be the best UK/Ireland Super middles around that time.
Eubank was the best, then Calzaghe. Though the Benn who fought McClellan looked somewhat unbeatable!

Collins deserves a lot of credit, top fighter, but in some ways was bad style match up/right place right time kind of thing. Eubank didn't like being made to work all 3 minutes of every round even in his prime but it was harder at that stage of his career. Also Eubank wasn't quite the same mentally at that point after what happened to Watson. Collins made a point publicly before the fight that he would keep coming no matter what and had been hypnotised to walk through pain, Eubank appeared to buy into it. When Eubank dropped him he didn't follow up, arguably because of not wanting to leave another opponent in a coma.

Not at all, he felt Collins cheated, wouldn't shake his hand, and wasn't allowed to pull out

Collins-Reggie was extremely close, lots of rough infighting, had Collins winning the first five straight I recall

Johnson easily outboxed him when he was switched on but just like a lot of Johnson fights he allowed his opponent in the fight by cruising.

                    Nah, disagree.

                    I gave Johnson rounds 1, 3 and 4 of the first 5.

Even the rounds Collins won, every round Johnson was landing the cleaner punches and making Collins miss wildly, however Collins did make it rough and win some rounds but he lost the fight. Johnson the much better skilled boxer.
