    It's amazing that Cotto continued to earn well for a full 10 years after the last notable win of his career. Unless you're going to argue that beating a completely crocked Sergio meant something, he did nothing after his great win over Mosley in 2007. And yet a decade later he was still relevant somehow.

    That said, it is sad to see him go. A great fighter to watch and for the most part he was a class act. Three great fights in Judah-Mosley-Margarito and six great round against Pac. His fight with Floyd was top notch too.

    That whole generation is gone now. And while you wouldn't call it a golden age it was a hell of a lot better than what followed it. Depressing to think about it.

      How many other top welterweights were willing to fight Prime Pacquiao and Margarito back in 2008 and 2009?

      Cotto did it without batting an eye.

          Man, just think how much greater he would have been if he hadn't fought Margarito's cheating ass.

          Dude was never the same after that.
