It's amazing that Cotto continued to earn well for a full 10 years after the last notable win of his career. Unless you're going to argue that beating a completely crocked Sergio meant something, he did nothing after his great win over Mosley in 2007. And yet a decade later he was still relevant somehow.
That said, it is sad to see him go. A great fighter to watch and for the most part he was a class act. Three great fights in Judah-Mosley-Margarito and six great round against Pac. His fight with Floyd was top notch too.
That whole generation is gone now. And while you wouldn't call it a golden age it was a hell of a lot better than what followed it. Depressing to think about it.
