You're damn right, most LHW's don't move up to face HW's. And for good reason.

It's pointless taking this any further.

If Roy's win didn't impress you at all, then you must be very hard to please.

    We'll leave it there.
    Are you sure?

I would have stopped about five posts ago, but you kept going.

So now it's more of like a game than anything.

    Hehe.

Even though Roy was the favorite coming in nobody expected him to blast Griffin out like that, so yeah that performance could very well be his best. The way he was toying with Richard Hall is another one of my favorites.
      Ha!

"You don't wanna pull the RJ out"

      Classic.

Yeah, the Hall performance was great too.

        You're an absolute joker.

        You started the thread.

You asked what his best wins were.

Anyone who knows anything about his career, knows that Ruiz is one of them.

When I pointed out how it simply had to have been impressive, you got defensive and started whining about Joe Calzaghe.

You started the debate, yet you don't even want to debate.

It's just been a complete waste of time.

        You are completely ignorant.

Montel Griffin beat James Toney twice.

Roy blasted him out in a round after previously struggling with him. Something to consider and something no one else did.

But Roy did that a lot, blasted out fighters that other top guys struggled with.

Griffin beat Toney twice, Roy destroyed him.

Toney struggled with Sosa, Roy stopped him early.

Eubank struggled with Malinga, Roy destroyed him.

Reggie Johnson, gave EVERYONE he faced a tough fight. Beat Steve Collins. IMO beat Toney, Castro and John David Jackson. Roy dominated him. Past his best yes but still very good and gave a prime Tarver a close fight after. No one except Roy beat him with ease.

Julio Cesar Gonzalez got dominated by Roy then best Dariusz a few years later.

Eric Harding beat Tarver, next fight after that Roy dominated him

So all these top fighters of the era are struggling and losing to the supposed "bums" that Roy destroys.

My answer to the question would be Griffin or Hopkins.
