You're assessment is based out of personal feelings and not out of actual facts... if you do not consider the 4 fights with the so called greatest of the decade in Pacquiao an ultimate achievement for this era than you are completely being ignorant and fully assessing with a biased opinion... Pacquiao not only beat Cotto, he destroyed Cotto even though Pacquiao was coming from a smaller division... For you to say Diaz had been exposed by Nate Campbell is simply ignorant as well, don't forget Nate Campbell was no handicapped, Maravilla Martinez, Super talented and lb x bl king Delvin rodriguez, or amputated Yuri Foreman... Nate was always a big problem for anyone who faced him and most importantly was healthy to fight!!!! And like I said on my post about Marquez, who else was there for him to beat that he had not already beat in his weight class? Even though Casamayor was out of his prime boxers still avoided him, Marquez moved up in weight and destroyed him... anyway man I can sit here and try to make you reason with facts but your pathetic rican pride will deny you the voice of reason!!! Here this, Puerto Rico has been non-existent in the boxing world for the last 20 to 30 years... the only guy who could be called good in the last decades is tito... the rest are all a bunch of class C fighters who are marketed into greatness and that includes cotto!!!! Have a good day sir!!!

I was watching a boxing match where nationality, race, color, or patriotic pride had nothing to do in my assessment!!! Clottey was toying around with cotto... by letting him throw and allowing him to land nothing... If I'm not mistaken I think even HBO's ledderman had the fight for Clottey and so did the commentators... even though Cotto was the networks attaction... Anyway man... Dont let your rican pride blind you!!! I know how passionate you guys are about boxing... that same passion is the islands demise in boxing... always inflating up and coming boxers as the greatest prospects... only to end up getting exposed by a C class healthy boxer!!! take for example Juanma Lopez who had Koed all the gardeners he fought within the first 5 rounds... Papito Vasquez Jr share the same trajectory, Thomas dulorme, Abnet Cotto, bomba Gonzalez, Arroyo twins, Roccky Martinez, Jose sniper pedraza, Jayson velez WHO BEAT SALVADOR SANCHEZ NEPHEW WHO WAS ONLY KNOWN IN PUERTO RICO AND NOT MEXICO... I REMEMBER HOW THE RICAN CROWD WENT NUTS AND ACCEPTED THE MATCH AS THE RICAN VENGEANCE OF WHAT SALVADOR DID TO GOMEZ.... man I can continue on and on and on... but it would be useless to do so on my part... later man!!Comment

your quote: "You're (*it's really your) assessment is based out of personal feelings and not out of actual facts" is exactly my point about your opinion on cotto. The vast majority of boxers, trainers, media and fans all speak highly of cotto and his career and accomplishments. But an ignorant biased Mexican like you feels the need to refer to him as C class and run down his accomplishments. What makes your opinion more valuable than those who have actually shared the ring with him? It's funny how you went so hard to defend Juan Diaz. The same Juan Diaz who was schooled twice by Paulie Malignaggi? The same Paulie Malignaggi who was handed his first defeat by Miguel cotto? If you were capable of proper reading comprehension, you'd have understood that I was only proving a point with my comments about Marquez and I don't actually think that about his career. All you did was expose yourself to be a biased hypocrite. Why do you think Marquez was trying to come back so badly to land a fight with cotto? You think he'd just come back for a C class fighter who just had hype?Marquez is all about legacy which is why he reused to fight pac again. He obviously saw value in facing someone like cotto. I could run down the career and minimize every Mexican fighter in history including chavez if I wanted to by minimizing their wins and emphasizing their loses. You're only basing your opinion on cotto on your own personal feelings and because he's Rican. If he were Mexican, I'm sure your perception would be different. And if puerto Rico hasn't been **** in boxing for the past 20 plus yrs, then why don't you research how many world champions they've had during that time frame and then asses then size/population of PR compared to Mexico. You're assessment is based out of personal feelings and not out of actual facts... if you do not consider the 4 fights with the so called greatest of the decade in Pacquiao an ultimate achievement for this era than you are completely being ignorant and fully assessing with a biased opinion... I was actually going to watch the Cotto-Clottey fight again just to be sure until you until you went on a rant about "Rican pride" and I just started laughing.
I am NOT from Puerto Rico neither am I Puerto Rican. I watch boxing for what it is - a sport I like.
Like you, I think JuanMa was pure garbage and I wish he had fought Gamboa so he could get beat up and embarrassed. The money would have been good.
Two, I think Trinidad is the biggest joke that ever came out of PR. A one-dimensional boxer that relied solely on his bulldozing power. Oscar embarrassed him, Hopkins exposed him but it was Winky Wright that pretty much showed how one dimensional Tito was.
Clottey was inactive most of the fight. He fought that way against Pacman too. I think Clottey could have beaten Cotto if he let his hands go but he didn't.
Unlike you, I am not going to shyt on Cotto simply because he had a decent career.
Next time don't assume anyone is from anywhere.Comment

Grammar patrol is such a pathetic way of defending one's point of view!!!! and as far as PR world champs... hahahha... any Rican Krokodile addict can be a WBO champ... they just have to be willing to lace them up and let Paquito Varcarcel take the biggest slice of the pie!!!! anyway man... there are to many mafioso politics involved in all of boxing including Mexico... but Puerto Rico is definitely number one... like you say based on such small population!!! and about Malignaggi oh yeah he gave cotto hell... that should say a lot about your legendary cotto!!!your quote: "You're (*it's really your) assessment is based out of personal feelings and not out of actual facts" is exactly my point about your opinion on cotto. I will let you keep on thinking that!!! Just like you still think Puerto Rico is significant in the sport!!!! If I'm not mistaken "0" champs continues to be the norm there!!! Have an excellent day!!!Comment

close to 60 world champions in its history, 2 current world champions and the highest world champion per capita ratio of any place in the world ever in boxing. Your ignorance is once again proven. You can f*como with me guy. You're not smart enough and chances are you're the type of dude who never set foot in the ring and would get slapped up by a female. Therfore, your only hobby is trying to talk up Mexican boxing and create a user name called "mexican style" because it makes you feel like you know boxing & aren't as pathetic as you really are. So carry onComment

Uggh!!! Have heard that story a million times, and have debated with plenty of imbeciles with proven facts, only to end up in square one!!! anyway man, continue with that mentality of living in the past because the present and the future are more than honest!!! and about the two champs hahahaha... Cotto winning a vacant (meaning cotto once again did not dethrone the legitimate champ) title, the title is owned by none other than the WBO based out of puerto rico, and will retire after his last crappy fight!!! Too much of a hassle trying to look for who the other champ is. If I do not know him then more than likely he is also another of those 60 paper champs out of puerto rico!!!! The whole per capita logic means you guys are also the worst at everything!!!close to 60 world champions in its history, 2 current world champions and the highest world champion per capita ratio of any place in the world ever in boxing. again you've provided 0 facts. Just hold your L. You're embarrassing yourself and even those Mexican boxers that you hold in such high esteem would call you a ****ing idiot if they were to read your posts on this topic. And as of now, México has 9 world champions, 5 of whom hold the México based wbc title, 3 of whom hold the WBO title you just referred to as crooked and 1 of whom holds the lowly unrecognized wba title which is that ducking rigo avoiding Santa Cruz.Uggh!!!
