i have a question...does anything u want me to answer dismantle the fact that "nothing that i can say or u can say will unrank him from #1/lineal champ at 175 on boxingscene and all other credible ranking sites?"

if not lets tell ppl to duva to shut her 2 side stroke hole and chase lingea instead of fightin uproven guys like beterbiev and bivol!

good day...learn how to be a better boxing fan or u will regret it!

Ward already humiliated this coward. His reputation is in tatters.

the fact that Kovalev gets a title shot (not Barrera, not Badou Jack, not Gwozdyk) straight after Ward's fights proves it once again what everybody was thinking about this whole Ward situation, that he didnt lose the first fight and was beaten to the nuts in the second, which he was actually winning before the strange stoppage

The first fight result is questionable but people need to realize it was that power shot to Kovalev's face that finished the fight, he bent over (which is not intelligently defending yourself) then Ward went to the body but with a guy hunched over it's hard to see where you're punching. If you watch the interviews with other top former and current fighters they all say the same thing, Kovalev gave up and the fight was over before the potential low blows.

Either way, don't blame Kovalev for the WBO making this for its full title. After 2 fights in a row against the sport's best, it makes sense to take a fight that isn't a walkthrough but not as challenging as the division's elite to get Kovalev's confidence back and reputation going strong again before facing guys like Bivol, Beterbiev, etc. I'm not a big Duva fan but not a bad move on her part to go with this fight.

Duva is a silly airhead ****. Kov is a quitter. He has to earn respect back same way Duran did.

You can't go out like that and then claim to be the man.

"While the stoppage was questionable because Ward landed punches below Kovalev’s belt line just before referee Tony Weeks ended the bout, Ward hurt Kovalev with a right hand earlier in the eighth round and had affected him with legal body blows."

This new rule -the one that says it's ok to hit somebody below the belt so long as you hurt them with a legal punch first - does anybody know if it applies to all boxers, or just Andre Ward?

Duran quit in his corner. Kovalev went down after being hit multiple times below the belt and was stopped by the ref.

Kov quit after some body shots. He wasn't able to bully Ward, lost on the inside, and quit.

Did he get hit low, yes. Did he commit fouls, yes.

A ton of other people have been hit repeatedly low far worse and didn't quit.

                    He's a biyatch.
