The sad part about it is, he got punk'd. It wasn't so much that he was knocked out, but it was the fact that he quit. Now the whole division is confident that they could make him do the same thing if only they can display just an ounce of the fortitude that Ward displayed.
Nope, Kovalev never quit. He got hit low and the corrupt ref jumped in and called the fight, instead of taking a point from Ward and giving Kovalev time to recover.

The only bltch in all of this that quit is Ward. Kovalev hurt him so bad in the 20 rounds they fought, that he lost all will to fight further, and retired.

Nah .. I'm lying there. I hope you were looking forward to seeing him defend those titles.
Stop with the scare talk, as those wolf-tickets no longer sell. U better pray Ward stays retired, cause if he doesn't, your new great White hopefuls will get undressed as well.

Kov isn't the man to beat

        Adonis is

And the rest of the guys ( Kov, Bivol, Beterbiev l, Jack , Barrera, Gvodsyk,Alvarez ) are in the mix and if they start fighting each other the winner can potentially surpass Adonis if he continues to sit on the sidelines.

          I mean, come on...

Stevenson's sheet looks as good, or as bad, up to you ...

Fonfara (twice), Williams Jr, Karpency, Bika, Sukhotskiy, Bellew, Cloud, Dawson...
I know he lost to Ward twice. And i took that into account, but i cannot put Adonis over Kov based on him losing twice to Ward (Who is a great fighter.)

Your post was about Kovalev having a better resume... I put down the lists of the opponents both have beaten since they got their belt... I don't see Kovalev's resume any way better than the one of Stevenson...

Also... people tend to say Stevenson hasn't been busy since his title... I'll just point that Kovalev has only 2 more fights to his credit since 2013, and he lost both...

Like I said Kovalev has fought better opponents that’s why I have him over Adonis. That’s my opinion just like you have yours.

Kovalev should of had his hand raised in the first fight and was subject to low blows in the second which ultimately had a huge impact on him.

I do find it funny how some people are trying to rewrite history to make it sound like Ward dominated him twice when that clearly wasn't the case.

He is still the man to beat, however I do think his confidence has taken a big hit and I would fancy some of the other fighters at 175 to beat him at this stage of his career.

... basically, Kovalev is the better boxer, but vodka destroyed him...
