i can see we have reached the point where we just repeat what we said over and over again so ill just post this again.

did ward ever make ggg a realistic offer to fight? no he did not. so how can ggg be expected to fight him? cause you say so isnt a good reason. he is supposed to go out of his way to indulge ward the diva? a guy who was fighting on BET and expected a 50-50 split after having much less fans and being kicked off of hbo? just a waste of time. he has his own career plans and they involved fighting in a huge ppv fight against canelo, with grabbing all the belts as his backup. wards career plans were what exactly....it had been 4 years since he won the super six and he had dont nothing and had no direction in his career. thats why he got kicked off of hbo. they wanted to be in the ward business but he simply wouldnt make the fights. fighting ggg was his way back on but he blew it. ggg didn't blow anything because he had the canelo fight already lined up. fighting ward was not a priority sorry. if ward had made a realistic offer then maybe but he didn't. they let ward back on if he agreed to fight kovalev and you saw how that back fired. 2 controversial fights that completely bombed and then he turns around and retires so there was no gain to be made. ward was a toxic fighter. win or lose ggg is good business and good fair boxing. ward was not either.

This is pure bu!!shyte. When a ggg\Canelo fight came about, Ward had long since moved up to light heavy.

When a ggg\Ward fight was a real possibility (not when Ward was injured, not when Ward was having managerial problems) team GGG (both Leoffler and Unable) insisted it could only happen at 164. They knew Ward would be lucky to make 168 and 164 would be impossible. Team GGG could act like they wanted a Ward fight without actually having to fight Ward. This after approving 168 for both Froch and Chavez Jr. After this, Ward moved up to light heavy to fight the #1 guy in the perceived killer Kovalev and GGG drug the #3 or 4 welterweight (Brook) up not one but two weight classes for a fight. So who was looking for tough fights and who wasn't?


What they said: we'll fight anyone from 154 to 168.

What they meant: we'll fight anyone from 154 to 168 as long as HBO approves, as long as we dictate all terms, as long as we get the lions share of the money and as long as your name isn't Andre Ward.

yes he should have said "if the deals wrong..."

why would ggg take a bad deal? cause he said he's willing to fight anyone? pretty sure that doesnt imply he has to take any old deal that comes his way. the ward deal was a joke. instead of trying to fight ggg when he was available he wanted a tune up and for ggg to postpone the wbc fight. wbc had already said they were ordering the fight in nov 2015 and wards own team said they wanted to fight in 2016. it simply made no sense. you dont commit to 2 fights when you have a huge fight next. wards team knew that and made a phony offer. if ward really wanted to fight he would have made and offer for a fight in 2015. he just had a tune up against paul smith but he needed another? give me a break. in politics its called a poison pill. something you put in the bill/contract in order to kill it. ward did just that. you trying to spin your way out of it wont work. it was a bad deal and was rejected. you have to live with it.
