I think Spence could potentially give Floyd a very, very tough fight.

But Crawford is still raw at 147.

I honestly think that Floyd would beat Thurman tomorrow if they fought, in much the same way he beat Canelo.

we talking about styles, athleticism, size etc. Not hof resume. You think when floyd was spences age he was a hof'r? Lol. Styles make fights. I like floyd. Very talented fooker. One of the best of his generation. But fought alot of slow plodding guys with walk in styles and slow hands. Not so much bashing him as praising the styles of crawford etc

Only thing I will post. Just to clear some stuff up...
The reason he didn't fight Thurman is because Thurman had just fought Collazo (in a tough fight) in July of 2015. The Berto Fight was signed AFTER training camp between Collazo and Thurman had started, so Thurman was in no position to be ready to fight in September nor even negotiate a contract while already in a contract...

This is a pointless article BTW

but when other posters complain about floyd running and not engaging therefore it makes the fight boring, yall said he doesnt need to do anything out of the norm to please the fans if what he's doing is winning him the fight???
Yes, it's called he's his own man and can do what he wants!

He's not the first fighter to do this and neither will he be the last!

People don't do it but I give major credit to Mayweather at over age 34 going toe to toe with a much more improved version of Maidana,a very hard puncher!

He could've did what Alexander and Khan did by fighting exclusively on the backfoot or just clinching him to death while holding an hitting!

One would think that but I've learned over the years that you don't ever bet against Floyd Mayweather Jr. He's just too good and has been figuring out the best of the best for years.

Just letting you know, at the same age (27) Floyd had already beat the following champions:

                  Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo 2x

Not to mention Corley and Jesus Chavez (who weren't champions but real contenders)

His resume is miles ahead of Spence at the same age. There are guys in the HOF with worst resumes than a 27 year old Floyd.

I get what you're saying, but those guys haven't shown anything to suggest they're close in class to Floyd. Spence will likely end up like the 154 guys from the 80s (Jackson, McCallum, McClellan, Norris, etc.) In terms of stature imo, just because of his style (I don't think his body holds up for another 8 or so years). Crawford has the potential to transcend, but it'll be tough to get past Spence to push him into that ATG conversation.

"he's his own fighter", so how do you know he let conor hit him on purpose then? LOL!! excuses after excuses for a bad performance. so he didnt care about pleasing the fans in 49 of his fights but all of a sudden for #50, he wants to please the fans by letting conor hit him on purpose? LOL!!!
