Let's assume the Conte assessment is true and this is only a matter of Ortiz's people not disclosing his meds on the form. Let's also assume that Conte's claim that there was no evidence of PEDs in Ortiz's system is true. The WBC bought it and declined to suspend Ortiz. Why then should he suffer a ranking penalty?

Again I want Wilder vs Ortiz still so if all is cleared and he gets his spot back that is fine but Wilder has a YEAR to fight his Mandatory now so why Not Ortiz vs Whyte or Breazeale while he waits for his Mandatory Shot

While I agree, I doubt Ortiz would, first, want to risk giving up his mandatory spot, and, second, fight Whtye or Breazeale.

He hasn't looked great in his last couple of outings, so i'd imagine, if he has a stay busy, it would be against a 'sure thing'.
