  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Feel For Wilder - He's a One-Man Band Commercially

New York - Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport believes WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs) should have a much bigger profile than he actually has at the moment - at least among the American public. In 2018, Wilder could very well step in the ring with Hearn's superstar fighter - IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs).

He certainly is building this fight up nicely, i don't think Wilder has an exclusive deal with any promoter (I know Lou doesn't his promoting for him on fight night), but am sure Wilder still has a team of people around him. They should be doing a better job, not coming to England and sreaming "Bombsquadddd" at Tony "Freaking" Bellew.

I'm starting to wonder if Hearn is trying to get Wilder over to his side. Could be the big headliner of Matchroom USA and then he could rake in all the money available at HW

He wants to put on the show on his own in Las Vegas, a little warining, he will screw himself big time and come back to London with his tails between his legs. Many have tried and not been successfull, he needs to work with Lou Dibella like or not co-promotion this is not MOnte Carlo where you get away with putting on a **** show in front of 300 people.
