He's only elite in comparison to the HW division. I really haven't seen a whole lot of people claiming he's some P4P great, and if I did I probably stopped reading their post cause they're either ****** or a troll.
Is Deontay Wilder really a A-Level fighter? If so, why isn't Shawn Porter

Wilder is a C level boxer but his sheer size, speed, and power makes up for it. Sometimes, that is all you need to succeed in the HW division especially in a sorry era like this one.
Shawn Porter is a solid B level.Comment

I am on the BombSquad side of the Wilder/AJ argument, and although Wilder *HAS* gotten better, I can't deny that he's gotten this far mainly on his athletic ability and not his boxing skills, so I really feel his physical power and speed made up for him not having "A level" combinations or footwork. That said, the proof is in the pudding and if he unifies the belts it will prove that speed and velocity might trump all the scientific fighting.
As for Showtime Shawn, I mentioned in another thread that he reminds me of a small Leon Spinks. The swarming, in close, get off first, kind of style reminds me of how Spinks took the belt from an aging Ali. It wasn't pretty, but he took the belt just by out hustling and not getting popped by Ali's straight right. Porter reminds me of this with a bunch more wrestling involved.
Even though his last round the other night was garbage, Porter is a tough fighter and uses the ring pretty well. The thing that stood out to me was that he made Granados look slow and ineffective, but DID NOT have the power to stop or slow him down. He looks strong but maybe he just doesn't have the killer KO punch.Comment

Joshua is no way in hell on the same level as Crawford or Spence or ThurmanInteresting point. But is it really?
Anthony Joshua is on the same level as Thurman, Brook, Spence, and Crawford. He certainly does have a better resume compared to all of them and if everything was equal I could see all those fights being 50/50.

Porter does not fight like an A side fighter, he's lost twice. The guy can be outboxed if people have the right game plan and a jab.As I've recently stated Wilder has great power and a great right hand but he is very fundamentally flawed. His footwork his poor, he leaves his chin exposed, he doesn't have a lot of tools, suspect chin, and his defense is poor. Will all these flaws I see people making it seem as if Wilder is an A-Level fighter when it is clearly evident that he too flawed to be. Now, let's look at a guy like Shawn Porter. Shawn Porter is an above average boxer with really good footwork(underrated aspect), great at cutting off the ring, brick chin, good body puncher, great stamina, and he is great at breaking his opponents will. As you can see, P4P Shawn Porter is levels above wilder yet I see many people claiming that Porter is a C or B-Level fighter which can be debated(I personally think he is at least B+ or A-) but making it seem as if Wilder is an A-Level fighter? What gives? And what exactly makes a fighter B-Level or A-Level?
I think hes just a pitbull, tough test for anyone due to the way he fights.
A sides are usually undefeated, you should know this.Comment
