the weird thing is that some boxing fans don't wanna see wilder vs Joshua, they want to see wilder vs whyte???????? and all of a sudden they are worried about how much money wilder makes?????
Should joshua be stripped?

This isn't how the fans wants it and what do you mean "even if he was ducking Wilder that's his right"!!!??? Foh.Oh come on, does every thread on this site need to be a blatant troll?
Doesn't anybody appreciate intelligent discussion anymore? Do we have to act like babies all the time?
Even if Joshua was ducking Wilder, that's his right. We have four leagues for a reason. So you can be the champion without having to fight all of the best fighters.
This is how the promoters want it. This is how the networks want it.Comment

Weirdo **** frfr. If Wilder was doing this they'd be trying to shut boxing sites down and signing petitions while calling him a coward.
Hell they're doing that now because the king isn't chasing after the peasant.Comment

^This all the way.suddenly? people have been doing that nonstop. it was usually floyd fan types to be honest. they were always saying ****** crap like manny should take 40 mill cause his previous high was only 30 something. sh-it like that that made no sense. taking 4 mill for whyte seems to make sense barring he doesnt get the joshua fight which he prob wont, so why not take the second best thing?
also weren't these same type of fans just a year ago saying ggg only fights bums, i dont care who ducked him, he only looks good knocking out bums. now they are wilder fanatics.... its just a problem of consistency.
Floyd fans created this atmosphere of A-side/B-side, he marinated the big fight for five years, he fended off the best opposition with excuses, retirements, and straight up ducking, and he was the one who measured a fighter's greatness by their earning power. His fanboys gobbled it up and that became the new standard.
Now, they are back-peddling. Now all of the sudden Wilder's pay days are irrelevant. His attendance records are a non-issue, his quality of opposition isn't important.
If we are being honest, fighters fight for money. It's dumb for Wilder to turn down Whyte, who he can beat rather easily, for a $5M payday when you consider he only earned $1.4M to fight Stiverne. Instead, he insisted on $7M to fight Whyte. Really? If he wants $7M for Whyte, no doubt he prices himself out of a Joshua fight by insisting on half the purse.Comment

Ripping his resume and blaming him for it are not the same.
Some people are ripping and blaming, which is unfair as he would have fought Povetkin and, if he'd won that one, Ortiz instead of Stiverne. Nobody should blame him for those fights not happening.
On the other hand, saying he has a shit resume and has beaten nobody worth a damn is just telling the truth.Comment

And from that you conclude that Haymon has more sway with the WBC than Hearn? Seems like it's the other way round to me.
Hearn gets his sway by being very good at his job .. promoting fights and making money. Haymon got his sway from having the key to a huge chest of investors money which has now been locked.Comment

He won't get credit for facing the like of Whyte, Helenius and Breazeale, they're all duds. I made a post the other day stating outside the top three and excluding the PED cheats they're really only is Pulev before the list becomes drastically terrible. What I don't hear is Wilder's team making anyone offers with the exception of Ortiz whom Im beginning to wonder did they know that fight was never going to happen, Ortiz stunk of PED use, he'd been caught before and I beginning to think more in the industry knew he was dirty than thought he was clean. Maybe Wilder invented to face him, we can judge him on his next fight, if he faces Breazeale I'm calling him out, hell I wouldn't give him a pass for Whyte but the money on offer he'd be an absolute buffoon to turn it down....Comment

When was the last time Hearn convinced the WBC to sanction #6 vs #12 to become #1.
Hearn had enough sway to get the WBC to change their mind when he went absolutely nuts about it, but he wouldn't have had enough sway to get them to do something like that in the first place.
Mayweather made the WBC more money than any fighter in history under Haymon's watch. The WBC is the most loyal of the four organizations and Haymon definitely has more power within the WBC than Hearn has. But Hearn is #2 and Haymon & Hearn, who have a very good relationship, have worked together may times to help each other gain more power in the WBC.Comment

Haymon DKSAB and Hearn does. Haymon doesn't have a clue how to promote and publicise fights and fighters to the man in the street and Hearn does. When was the last time Hearn convinced the WBC to sanction #6 vs #12 to become #1.

Haymon's days as a power broker within the sport are over. Without that Waddell and Reed money he's nothing.Comment
