  • Should joshua be stripped?

He appears to be ducking Wilder, I feel the belts should be freed up for someone who will answer the challenge.

Oh come on, does every thread on this site need to be a blatant troll?

Doesn't anybody appreciate intelligent discussion anymore? Do we have to act like babies all the time?

Even if Joshua was ducking Wilder, that's his right. We have four leagues for a reason. So you can be the champion without having to fight all of the best fighters.

This is how the promoters want it. This is how the networks want it.

I think Whyte is now technically Wilder's WBC mandatory challenger since Ortiz has been suspended.

This is incorrect. Wilder just beat his mandatory and another mandatory has not been determined yet.

Whyte has won an eliminator. Breazeale has won an eliminator. In theory they'll be ordered to meet eventually in a final eliminator.

Although it needs updating, the WBC site lists rankings as follows: Stiverne #1, Ortiz #2, Whyte #3, Ruiz #4, Takam #5, Breazeale #6..

Since Stiverne has probably now dropped out of the top 10 and Ortiz is suspended, Whyte may well move to the #1 spot by default without the necessity for a final eliminator.

Suddenly, fans are giving credence to sanctioning bodies and what fighters get paid - " fight whyte! Hes ranked number 3 and you get 4 mil!" Absolutely embarassing .

The wilder hate on here is unfair.

Anyone can go to boxrec and say wilders resume is poor. He signed to fight 2 best non belt holders and they both cheated. Name me the 5 fighters he should have fought since gettin the belt. Ill wait.......................

I agree that beating bermane is up there with the very apex of human achievement. The way he dismantled that living legend was chilling. It's obvious why stiverne was considered p4p 1. And had been ducked for two years previous to this fight. I think deontay channeled the spirit zeus to overcome the insurmountable task of bermane. Stiverne is so technically proficient you would be better off trying to learn fractal geometry, or quantum electro dynamics.

That's not how boxing works. There is a big difference between being ranked #1 and being named the mandatory challenger. Reaching the #1 ranking doesn't automatically make you the mandatory.

suddenly? people have been doing that nonstop. it was usually floyd fan types to be honest. they were always saying ****** crap like manny should take 40 mill cause his previous high was only 30 something. sh-it like that that made no sense. taking 4 mill for whyte seems to make sense barring he doesnt get the joshua fight which he prob wont, so why not take the second best thing?

also weren't these same type of fans just a year ago saying ggg only fights bums, i dont care who ducked him, he only looks good knocking out bums. now they are wilder fanatics.... its just a problem of consistency.
