    [QUOTE=aboutfkntime;18198425]little 153lb Cotto demanded a catchweight

EVERY single middleweight on the planet would have happily obliged.... everyone except for Mr "anyone from 154-168".....

then a year later, Golovkin was calling out JMW's at 154, and complaining that nobody will fight him

you can't make that shht up

how the fk can you possibly blame Cotto for that ?

oh, and then Golovkin took step-aside money

in poker, unless you call, you don't get to see the cards

in boxing, your guy failed to call, so you blamed the other guy, and then made up what you thought could be in his cards

why the fk would any human being do anything like that?

here is how it works..... your guy failed to call Cotto's "bluff"..... so, you do not have the right to have an opinion, either way..... and you certainly do not have the right to throw the PROVEN fighter under a bus, when the HYPED fighter failed to call his bluff

you are talking ****, to justify why lil'G refused to be a man of his word and shat the bed over weight..... and you are ready and willing to throw a PROVEN warrior under a bus in order to achieve that

which is why we hate you casual-fan cvnts[/QUOTE
I was never impressed with Cotto. Am I willing to throw him under the bus? No. I'm just giving you the facts. The Middleweight limit is 160 pounds. Canelo Mayweather and Canelo made a career out if catchweight fights. I don't hate catchweights but I'd rather see fighters fight at the official weights. Hearns, Duran and other old time fighters moved up and didn't ask for catchweights. As far as you idiotic idea that Middleweights fight at 160 pounds. Duran weighed 156 and Hagler weighed 157. It wasn't uncommon for fighters moving up to come in well under the division limit. They didn't ask for catchweights. They are asking for catchweights in modern times even though there are multiple weight divisions. Guys like Hagler stayed at middleweight and didn't move up but idiots like you can't grasp the idea that some guys don't feel the need to move up in weight if they are comfortable and making good money. If a guy moves up in weight that's fine but I don't measure how good a boxer is just because he moved up.

            the facts are.....

            * Golovkin ran around for FIVE YEARS saying that he could beat "anyone from 154-168"

            * the little 153lb SUPERSTAR Cotto, demanded a catchweight

            * Mr "anyone from 154-168" shat the bed and refused to be a man of his word

            * Golovkin then stated that he is willing and able to fight at 154, but none of the JMW's will step up

they lied to you kid, and now you are lying to us

I really don't give a **** ass if you in your private little small man's word of hate and envy think he lied. I frankly don't care. Golovkin is a good fighter with a pack of sniveling little gutless weasels analysing his every move. He's an entertaining fighter that brings it every time out. I enjoy watching him fight.

Canelo did better than expected. Team Golovkin did not gain negotiating power.
