So Golovkins team are already making excuses to not do the rematch? If not why even play these games? Canelo wants the rematch so just make it. If you really think your fighter won why not just do it. Canelo is obviously a way bigger draw so he deserves more money. That’s not avoiding the fight that’s just reality. Can’t expect more money when you’re not the draw. Canelo can make big money against someone else, GGG cant. That’s just the simple truth.

If Canelo wanted the rematch it would be signed by now. The fact is they are delaying to see how the Saunders Lemieux fight goes. It is also su****ious that there was no rematch clause for Golovkin's side. Its possible Canelo's team balked at that during negitiations.

Cotto was not going to get in the ring with Golovkin.

The WBC wanted the Cotto Canelo fight so Golovkin agreed to take step aside money from Cotto so the fight could happen. He was supposed to fight the winner after both had one other fight. Well we know what happened.
Cotto was stripped of his title because he didn't pay the sanctioning fee. Cotto paid Golovkin $800000 for a fight he lost and then Canelo dropped the belt. He didn't have to fight Golovkin.
