He was highly ranked, so what? Cause governing body rankings are so reliable lol. From what i see, all hes beaten is chris arreola, wow, is that the acid test at heavyweight or something, beating arreola? I never thought much of him beating stiverne a few years back, yet alone bombing him out now when hes a big fat sloppy 39 year old coming in on short notice. I guess that proves wilders the best heavyweight around though!!! No chance joshua could have done that to such quality opposition.

Didn't you do one of these threads when the bodyguard lost to Ward ? Stiverne I a nobody, nobody has dealt with him like that before though.
Like it or not Wilder is a danger to Joshua.

Wlad also was not a champion anymore, was past 41 years and was coming off a loss - all the more reasons why AJ took the fight. Low to medium risk - high reward provided he won - which AJ did.
Take a seat.

i'm going to break down stirverns meteoric rise to the top...
before stirverne and arreola met in their 2 superfights they were ranked...
stirverne was unranked
arreola was ranked #9
afte their superfights stirverne moved up to #2 in the rankings...
that seems pretty dubious to me especially when compared to the resume of others below him like...
tyson fury: had beat chisora twice, kevin johnson, and cunningham(my opinion should have been higher ranked)
pulev: had beat dimitrenko, undefeated ustinov, and tony thompson(my opinoin should have been ranked higher) but lost to klitschko(losing to good fighters shouldnt auto-drop you below unproven people)
bryant jennings: had beaten fedesov, undefeated spilzka, and undefeated perez(my opinion should have been ranked higher)
glazkov: coming off a win over #3 ranked adamek. why is stirverne ranked higher cause he beat the #9 guy twice??? (my opinion should have been ranked higher)
so from what i can tell he was severely overranked. the main reason he was ranked so high seems to be because he held a belt.Last edited by daggum; 11-06-2017, 08:45 AM.
