What else were they supposed to do? They are only protecting him from AJ. This is just another example of a corrupt sanctioning body gone bad.
Team Ortiz should sue the WBA for suspending him without due process. He was their mandatory challenger. Where as in the case of the WBC, he was their voluntary.
The WBC has more leeway than the WBC because it didn't owe Ortiz that title defense but the WBA does.Comment

Respect on the WBA following suit with the WBC situation. I wasn't expecting that & usually they (the other abc groups) don't seem to fall in line with each other with this sorta sh^t & its a commissions job to suspend a fighter before anything happens with rankings.Comment

The fact is, Joshua was never going to face Ortiz with or without a dirty drug test in the first place just like he is never going to fight Deontay Wilder anytime soon and that's real talk. The WBA only saved him the trouble of ever having to challenge anyway; So congratulations and great work by the WBA. You've done your part just wonderfully in all of this mess.Comment
