As much as I like Thurman it does feel like he's trying to duck Spence

Thurman is one of my favorite fighters but every interview he's done over this weekend seems he keeps jumping around the question of actually wanting the fight. It should happen by December 2018.
The specific situations rarely matter. Its all the same sh^t at the basic level. The guy who wants to fight everyone who everyone above him don't wanna fight cuz the juice isn't worth the squeeze yet. Or the juice could be worth more in the near future. Either way the use of the term ducking is rarely used with much intelligence or logical thinking which is my most often criticism vs the duck people.

And yea I suspect it does happen before Dec. 2018 so all this "ducking" talk will be for naught. Than again most of the stuff duck people bring up is for naught anyway so them being right about something is like hitting the BoxingScene forum lotto.

Yeah, I didn't like the way he handled the questions about Spence. I still think they fight by the end of next year though

I get that impression too. I have NEVER been high on Thurman. He does have a great under standing of the sport. I rather listen to his break downs then watch his fights

In all his new interviews about the Spence fight he always keeps going on these long rants basically never really saying he actually wants the fight. In one interview he said it definitely won't be my next fight or maybe even the fight or two after that. I just don't see no reason why the fight can't happen sometime next year. I also feel Spence is definitely the favorite in the fight so I feel Thurman maybe wants to win as many more fights as possible to make as much money as possible before a potential loss.
          ... I also like Thurman a lot...
... but let me know if he would have traveled to the UK in order to fight Brook, as Spence did...

Haymon will have the fight signed, let it build. These guys are prize fighters, I know one thing Thurman and Spence are already p4p fighters imo and a decisive victory for either really pushes them on to challenge Crawford with a win over each other, Crawford vs the winner is a very real possibility down the line.

Spence was handsomely rewarded for his choice to travel, the question really is would Brook have fought him if he wasn't mandated, I think we all know he answer to that.

TBH: Brook repeatedly said he would rather move up at 154... He had that choice but he actually took that fight...
