As much as I like Thurman it does feel like he's trying to duck Spence

In all his new interviews about the Spence fight he always keeps going on these long rants basically never really saying he actually wants the fight. In one interview he said it definitely won't be my next fight or maybe even the fight or two after that. I just don't see no reason why the fight can't happen sometime next year. I also feel Spence is definitely the favorite in the fight so I feel Thurman maybe wants to win as many more fights as possible to make as much money as possible before a potential loss.

He said Spence was hungrier than him that tells you everything, he can't keep those belts hostage for long tho.

He is just delaying it, that's all. Don't worry the fight will be built up & will happen.

The panel discussion on Saturday certainly didn't help his cause. He basically gave a non-answer with regard to Spence. It will be interesting to see where Haymon guides their respective careers.

Crawford doesn't seem to want to talk about Spence either. I'd say Spence is the man at 147 right now. He is young, strong, dangerous and eager to fight anyone. What more could we ask for?

he just over philosophes some of his answers, im sure the fight happens guys but one thing we know for sure it wont be next; so the best thing to do instead of throwing this duck word around is to relax. this fignt wont be easy for either guy imo.

I dont think hes scared, he just knows spence has a high chance of beating him and he wants to hold his titles for a little longer.

Who's really left for Thurman to fight though? He beat Porter & Garcia already even though a rematch with one of them is likely. The winner of a Porter vs. Garcia fight deserves the rematch. Peterson is likely going to lose to Spence so there's no reason for Thurman to fight Peterson after a loss. Crawford needs 1 or 2 wins at 147 first before taking on a top 5 welterweight. Pacquiao has 1 or 2 fights left most likely & it won't be against any top fighters. Horn will be fed to Crawford next year. Brook is rumored to be moving to 154 & has back to back losses. The only names I can think of are Vargas, Figueroa & Matthysse.

Exactly his back will be against the wall pretty soon to fight either Spence or Crawford and I don't see him beating either of them.

I agree I don't think he's actually scared of him just he knows that there's a huge possibility of him losing his titles so he wants to make as much money as possible. I can understand that, but for fans it sucks. Since this whole taking on lesser names for top fighters is getting really old at this point. Danny Garcia is the absolute worst at doing that.
