As much as I like Thurman it does feel like he's trying to duck Spence

Stop with this ducking talk
Thurman Is the top dog at WW, He has 2 straps and has beaten Porter and Garcia in his last 2 fights
A couple years ago he was the guy on his way up and none of the established WW would give him the time of day. Now it's his turn he's on top of The mountain he's not going to hype up Spence who just got his strap.
Thurman and Spence both keep winning they'll fight against each other

Thomas Dulorme? One of those seems like the most likely.

Thurman clearly has respect for Spence and knows that's gonna be a real test for him, that much is obvious. But people don't understand the politics of the sport, how fights are actually made, what fighters are told to say in interviews by their advisers, managers etc. It's not up to Thurman or Spence when the fight happens, it's up to Al.
Thurman has the crown right now and is the #1 guy, so he feels like he doesn't have to prove anything. Spence wants what Thurman's got, so of course he's the more vocal guy and wants the fight more. This is going to be a real super fight so it makes sense to build it up a bit and generate as much money as possible from it.
If the fight gets offered to Thurman and he turns it down, that's a duck. Thurman not demanding a Spence fight is not a duck. When Al tells Thurman it's time for Spence, best believe he's gonna be talking a lot more.

But you can't call it a duck just because us fans want the fight right now. Thurman has proved he wants and will fight the best. Nothing has changed except a injury and him being a little less vocal about it.
Everything for the last 2 years has pointed towards this fight being made with the #1 vs #2 WW fighting for 3/4 straps sometime in the future . Probably Around the same time PBC figures out if they get a TV contract or not
I think it will happen late next year or early 2019, depends on how things play out

Ducking? Spence has only been champ for less than 5 months. If he had the belt for 2-3 years and the fight still hadn't happened then you could say he was ducking. People are so quick to jump the gun and say outlandish things nowadays.
