Comments Thread For: Quality Quintet: Hatton, Morales and Winky highlight IBHOF class

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's probably not his fault, but I'm still going to blame Edward Brophy. The executive director of the International Boxing Hall of Fame had zero impact on when my parents met, married and decided to have children, so my blessed arrival on day No. 45 of Richard Nixon's presidency was likely not determined by anything over which he or his minions had control. But make no mistake, as I look at the envelope that originated from his 13032 postal code, it's him who's making me feel each one of my 48 years, seven months and five days...

Hatton in my opinion just didn't do enough. The class should be in my opinion is: Morales,Wright, Starling. or Morales,Wright, JJackson.

In no particular order, I'd pick Nigel Benn, Eric Morales, Vitali, Julian Jackson, Rocky Lockridge or Meldrick Taylor.

Meldrick Taylor? Why? And no Michalszewski? Unreal. Fitz! Explain.

Everybody he said No should be in the Hall of Fame, another fighter who has not got a clue, what the hall of fame means, these set people pulses racing even they did flop in a pivot fight should still be given the accolades like Donald Curry and Milton McCory.

There was a world champion somebody like Barry Jones (wbo superfeatherweight champion) does not belong 1ko and his entire career says enough about that. Sven Otke does

I agree with your pics but instead of right I would put Sot Chitalada...
Right is deserving but I like Chitalada, I had seen him several times... Wright faded at the end of this career but is still deserving...

The Hawk should be in. Good picks though. Jackson instead of Taylor.
Tough to pick only 5 as I think they were all elite in their eras.

No to Donald Curry? Not sure about Julian Jackson lost to McCallum destroyed twice by McClellan.
Nigel Benn and Eubank should be in as well

Curry was spectacular for sure, but his prime was waaaaaayyyy to short for him to be HOF worthy IMO.
