It won't be Saunders. Lemieux is not that kind of draw. If Saunders is coming to someone else's back yard to lose, it will be for more coin than what Lemieux can offer. He is good but a couple of performances away from being able to offer that kind of money.

Not all that interested in Kirkland. He is damaged goods and Lemieux should be able to outmaneuver him and end it fun. But the fight will be a huge draw in Canada and Lemieux winning in good fashion would make for a decent 2017 for him. He should improve his standing enough to be a nice opponent for someone like Danny Jacobs or be worth it for Saunders to risk it in 2018 if Saunders get blown off by Golovkin/Alvarez.

Lemieux knows that he can't beat Charlo, Jacobs, Saunders. That's why he will fight Kirkland or Centeno.

The Kirkland fight would be fun, but wouldn't be competitive for long. Centeno or Jacobs or Saunders would be great IMO. Just keep him busy. Last thing he needs is to get rusty.

billy joe is the only fight that makes sense for lemieux at 160 in december being that jacobs isnt available and andrade isnt available.

im so tired of these bums, getting dates while avoiding the fights that make the most sense.

The article says saunders is asking for more money than they are willing to pay, im sure lemiuex could go to england to fight so saunders could get his asking price but that would mean lemiuex would be the B side and it sounds like he wants to headline a card where he is the main draw. I don't blame him he's put in the work and put on some great performances, and you really cant blame billy either he's a huge fighter in england, but this is the reason why good fights don't get made Because fighters and promoters have big egos and don't like to swallow their pride for the sake of the fans

What about guys like Andy Lee or Matt Korobov? I'll bet they would take a fight in Canada for the amount of money DL is offering. I'd rather see that then Kirkland.

I'm so sick of BJS running his mouth, but when comes to fighting he prices himself up, didn't fight any one worthy Championship fight since Andy lee, not even single mandatory. WTF.
