Joe Rogan Should Do Boxing Commentary

I wouldn't mind if there were no commentators at all. I would like it better that way. I was an amateur boxer and I have been a huge boxing fan since I was a kid. I know what I am looking at. It isn't radio. I can see for myself what punches landed and how hard they were. I don't need a blow by blow often from a guy who never boxed. When I go to a fight live there is no commentator and none is needed. It's better that way and the fight is more enjoyable. They are a distraction to me and not an asset.Comment

Smart people learn quickly, Rogan went from Korean karate to grappling with no problems, I don't think he would have a problem getting to know some of the finer points of boxing. We need creative people to look at the fight game, and not these intellectual idiots like Kellerman and before him that flake who did football games (Dennis something?) Cosell could be a smart commentator or an idiot at time as well.Comment

Pretty sure that's not him, but anyways leave Rogan in MMAHe overdoes talking up the UKC fighters. Every good fighter they have becomes the best PFP fighter on the planet as if great boxers, kick boxers and Thai boxers don't even count. The guy has to yell HERE WE GO at the start of EVERY big fight and then yell IT IS ALL OVER at EVERY KO. That gets old an annoying to me and he has been doing that for at least ten years. He gushes over mighty mouse and a few others to the point of being sickening. Yeah, they are good fighters but he turns them into gods or supermen when they aren't.Comment

People harp on Roussey but fail to realize her coach basically was so bad that he sabatoged her and caused her to get one of those beat downs that one does not recover from. Roussey was hitting well and then was told to go in there and box with a boxer. She was told by everyone but her coach not to abandon her strong suite.Comment

I keep hearing this but this is the same coach who was with her when she was winning impressively and becoming one of the biggest names in the UFC. People can use him as an excuse but it was her in the Octagon and should know better than to fight the way she did despite what she was told. It's not like he had a gun to her head. If she was really that great she would've fought the way she needed to and found a way to win. My take is that she was just very overrated and couldn't live up to it or handle it. She was good but the hype was way too much.People harp on Roussey but fail to realize her coach basically was so bad that he sabatoged her and caused her to get one of those beat downs that one does not recover from. When she was winning and confidant she had people like Gene LeBell working with her. This guy isolated her, and took her because she became infatuated with him, and destroyed her...no she was not succesful when with him at all.I keep hearing this but this is the same coach who was with her when she was winning impressively and becoming one of the biggest names in the UFC. Its not about responsibility... So many trainers suck that one forgets what a trainer does and what this guy did to Rhonda's game: My dad was a fighter in the Marine Corps and was fighting a guy a lot better. The trainer told him oe simple thing to do, something like "when he throws that right, slip left and throw a hook" and my dad hit this guy a few times! Thats kind of short and sweet but its also kind of what trainers are supposed to do, instead of "come on you piece of garbage hit him!!"
Now I want you to imagine a trainer telling a guy, "when he throws the right, do such and such" the guy does as he is told and gets flattened. When he gets up his trainer is screaming in a panick.... thats what happened to Rhonda with this guy.Comment

Rogan DKSAB. His Podcast isn't brilliant either. He has some good guests, but his engagment lacks lustre.Amazing commentator who never talks down a fighter, but points out any flaws during the fight in a constructive way. Blends his own brand of humour with his technical insight on MMA. He also knows a bit about boxing as heard on his brilliant podcast. He's better than Lampley, Merchant, Kellerman and Stephen A. Only commentator in boxing that comes close is Al Bernstein. Please leave a comment on his youtube channel so he knows he's wanted in boxing.

What the fùck are you talking about? Her coach has nothing to do with it. It was the UFC matchmaker that ruined her which is ultimately ordered by UFC. You don't throw a star to the rows after getting their lights stomped out. They need to build confidence before they make their way back into hell. Getting stomped by Holm, its easy to get gunshy and thats exactly what happened to Rousey.People harp on Roussey but fail to realize her coach basically was so bad that he sabatoged her and caused her to get one of those beat downs that one does not recover from. She was trash anyway, but the UFC fùcked her over. They don't know how to keep stars stars.Comment
