I don't expect an action fight. I expect Trout to make it a chess match and use his bag of tricks to confuse the young strong Hurd. If there is action it will be at Trout's expense. Hurd can drop Trout if he isn't sharp. Trout needs to bring his A game and I expect him to. Austin Trout is the better fighter. If he's right mentally and still hungry then I don't see Hurd standing a chance. Hurd has to knock this guy out to win or else he's getting out boxed.

I do know that. I've seen enough of Hurd to know what he's gonna bring. Tony Harrison was giving him fits until he pulled the inevitable Tony Harrison break down. Trout is a classy fighter, Hurd isn't.

          A reasonable assessment methinks.
          Age v youth.
          Bag of tricks v power.
Trout more battle tested against better comp than Hurd.
Definitely a crossroads fight for Trout more so than Hurd.
I see Hurd getting outboxed early if he has anything left.
The question is will Trout be able to keep the young, strong Hurd at bay for the duration.

This fight should tell us a lot about Hurd. Whether he is legit or not.

Trout's lack of power will be his downfall in this fight.

              So what??

David Lopez' slow ass gave Trout fits.
At least Harrison has some speed.

Trout is classy but his chin is glassy and his power is 0.

Trout could certainly taste the canvas. You can put him down but you can't keep him there. He's too gritty. He's gonna pile up the rounds on this kid just wait and see.

Trout maybe technically better but he pulls his punches sometimes. I can see Hurd outworking Trout, even walking through his punches. Hurd has a very methodological approach to his work. It's more than just brawling.
Do you remember Brook looking classy vs Spence in the opening rounds, while Spence was investing in the body?. That's Hurds line of work.

Hurds chin is made of iron & I really like his attitude in the ring. People were turned off by his last appearance but to me he proved he has grit. He can adjust, bite down and dig deep. That's the makings of a special fighter. I think Trout is past it but we'll see.
