ward wanted a tune up first and then to fight ggg. wbc already said ggg was going to force the ggg fight after cotto-canelo so of course he didnt take that offer because he would be fighting ward at the same time he would have been fighting cotto-canelo winner. the ward offer has already been debunked but these people simply do not care. they are loyalists like trump supporters. the facts simply do not matter.

see what i mean about not caring about facts?

ggg tried to fight ward and ward wasnt ready. ok thats fine but then ward went silent for 4 years. so he wasnt ready for 4 years??? oh lets look at the guys ward tried to fight during that period: sartison, periban, dunn. yeah I guess he wasnt ready.

when he was finally ready the deal he offered was never going to be accepted since it made ggg choose between ward and cotto-canelo winner. obv instant rejection. if ward had sent a real one fight deal then that would be something to consider but he didn't. you should be asking yourself this about ward....

why did ward need a tune up after he just had one against paul smith? why did ward want 50-50 when he was the clear b-side and not even welcome on any network at the time while ggg was hbos star. did ward really expect ggg to commit himself to a long term deal when he was promised a canelo-cotto fight next? none of these things scream "i want to fight" to me. they scream i know you wont take this deal but i want to pander to my low information fans. oh look mission accomplished.

After Brook's gleeful acceptance of the bout, Hearn called Loeffler and proposed they make the fight at a catch weight of 158 pounds given that Brook would be moving up two weight classes, although he is enormous for a welterweight.

Loeffler told him Golovkin would not fight at a catch weight.
More sources to help MarGGGarito trash learn their A, B, C's you trash FUCK.

boxing, Dan Rafael, Roman Gonzalez, Chocolatito, Carlos Cuadras, McWilliam Arroyo, Alexis Arguello, Ruben Olivares

IBF welterweight champion Brook would be interested in moving as high as 157lbs for a catchweight fight against a big-name opponent, his promoter Eddie Hearn said last month.

Golovkin's representative Loeffler has responded by challenging Brook to follow in the footsteps of legendary welterweights who have made the move to middleweight.
Gennady Golovkin is open to a fight with Kell Brook if a weight class can be agreed, promoter Tom Loeffler has revealed.

"The first time I looked at him I thought: 'Wow! 147? No way!'," Golovkin told Sky Sports News HQ. "He is my size, like he's at 160. I am not a big guy so it is very close for us. Right now I realise he is a true test and the biggest test for us."
IBO/IBF/WBC/WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) admits he was shocked when first going face to face with IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs).

If Brook faces Golovkin, he would be willing to do it at a catch-weight of 157-pounds.

"I just said to Tom Loeffler that Kell would fight Golovkin at 156, 157-pounds. And he said 'well, I don't know if we'll go below 160.' And I said 'well I'm telling you, I mean it, he will do it.' I think they have plans to stay at 160, but Kell will fight him."
As reported earlier, IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs) says he is dead serious about fighting IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs).

The only thing getting destroyed are u GGG haters. If he was so concerned about the weight then why did he accept the fight within 2 days you dummy. Why do you have double standards because when Canelo fights 155 but comes into the fight against Khan at way over 170 pounds its ok? Keep talking rubbish dummy.

                  Canelo is a millennial.

Millennials are considered kids until they're 38.

The Canelo-GGG fight took place at the perfect time in my opinion.

May-Pac was a few years too late.
