No disrespect to you I love reading comments on this site some insightful stuff really I sometimes like the comments more than the articles but sometimes it's just sickening how comments are about somebody ducking somebody nobody and I mean absolutely nobody gets a fair shake. From Mayweather hate on him. PacMan hate on him. Ward hate on him. Kovalev hate on him. Adonis Stevenson hate on him. Errol Spence hate on him. Terence Crawford hate on him. Keith Thurman hate on him. Mikey Garcia hate on him. Lomachenco hate on him. Rigo hate on him. GGG hate on him. Canelo hate on him. I can go on and on the point is no matter the fighter the hate is just so strong it's literally impossible for everyone to just consider you a great champion there's always insults and disrespect but hey just my 2 cents and what's that worth right.. Let the hate continue smh..
I have valid points and Ward has been scared as fùck of moving out of 168 for a long time. He semi-retired over it. He doesn't want to be challenged and if you look at his career he's had the advantage. His division was made up of sub-par talent and yes he was arguably the best but lets not forget he didn't get everybody out of there. He wouldn't fight Dirrell and Andre presented a very massive challenge at THAT TIME (Super Six era).

You can't be great in one division anymore --- this isn't the 1940's. Time to test your mettle and prove your greatness. Great fighters move up. Ward hasn't lost a fight since he was 12, ok. Partly because he's been fighting rather dirty in his pro stint and it is a stint because he was so inactive for so long with no valid excuse. Fùck Goosen. Who the fùck chooses Goosen? He should have been with Top Rank or Golden Boy instead of these flim-flam outfits. He hasn't been that active either.

I don't respect Ward at all. Respect means admire and I don't admire a fighter that fights dirty without reason. I stand tall against that garbage and I won't stand for it. Ward will be forgotten just like Calzage is. Brits that don't know Boxing don't even know who Joe Calzaghe is. It's true.

The facts do not support your position. This very website obtained emails that prove your HBO source was lying. The myth you just posted was already debunked years ago.

BoxingScene.com has obtained numerous emails that were exchanged between HBO and Yvon Michel, promoter of WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson. The network has claimed that a deal was reached with Michel, and approved by Stevenson (23-0-1, 20KOs), to face Andrzej Fonfara (25-2, 15KOs) on May 24th - and then have a unification with WBO champion Sergey Kovalev in the fall. HBO claims that Michel went back on their agreement and demanded a 40% increase on the license fee. Michel's increase demand was due to Showtime's very lucrative offer to bring Stevenson to their network.

Are you trolling? Because this is what hating looks like. He was in a tournament where he was not a favorite. He beat several good fighters in that tournament. If he was smart and resolute enough to negotiate terms that benefit him, kudos to him.

Did you really bring up Direll?

"Super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell has withdrawn from Showtime's Super Six World Boxing Classic due to neurological problems that could end his career, Leon Lawson Jr., Dirrell's uncle and trainer, told ESPN.com on Thursday.

Not only is Dirrell's career in jeopardy, but his medical issues are yet another blow to the fast-fading six-man tournament, which has been beset by numerous delays and has now seen half of the original field withdraw because of injuries: Dirrell, Mikkel Kessler and Jermain Taylor.

Dirrell had been scheduled to fight Andre Ward, his good friend and fellow 2004 U.S. Olympic medal winner, on Nov. 27 in Group Stage 3 of the tournament, with a semifinal berth at stake.

Showtime's Ken Hershman announced Dirrell's withdrawal during a teleconference with reporters Thursday, but declined to say what the nature of Dirrell's injury was, instead referring those questions to Dirrell's team.

However, Hershman did say that even with Dirrell out, the tournament would continue and that Ward instead would defend his 168-pound world title against an opponent to be determined on the date, probably in his hometown of Oakland, Calif.

Hershman said Ward's fight might not be a formal tournament bout, however. He said Showtime and the promoters hoped to have a resolution on Ward's opponent and if it would be a tournament fight on Friday. The agreements outlining the tournament rules allow for a fight to take place outside of the tournament."

This man moved up and faced the boogeyman twice and you question his heart. You even nitpick his choice of promoters? Who does that? So many good fighters were under then Goosen-Tudor banner.

        You got Silky Johnson beat.

its pretty clear team ward didnt and never have wanted anything to do with stevenson, that fights been on the table for years but ward pretended as if he didnt exist. Now theres pressure for the fight, suddenly out of nowhere team ward are reinventing themselves with mayweathers 'money' persona. They werent concerned about money when they signed up for brand, rodriguez, smith, barrera. And if they are concerned about money then maybe they should look at themselves, cause the product that they offer for the consumer is complete garbage so noones buying it. People want to be entertained, not bored to death.
