That was shockingly coherent, and spot on.

I think the real reason Ward retired was that he wasn't hungry anymore. He didn't want to go through all the effort training before fights, all the promotion and staying in good shape between fights. I mean, he's complaining about there being no money in a fight with Stevenson but it isn't as if he was pulling in Mayweather type of money anyway. Kovalev was by far his biggest payday.

That is a very good point you made. Since Ward is already retired why even bring up Adonis name if you're not gonna fight him and use money as an excuse. It's not like Andre Ward is a cash cow who always get BIG time purses for his fights. Hekk Kovalev-Ward was a good fight but neither fight was a blockbuster must see event. They did 165k buys on the first fight and the second fight brought in 130k that's not baller status by any means lol

Exactly if they were really about money and wanted to fight.. they would say Fck Las Vegas and Host the fight in Canada's biggest stadium and make Big money at the gate.. They were far from selling out the Mandalay Bay they gave away a ****load of tickets,, Wards not at Vegas level anyway, like I said that was a cheap lame and irrelevant excuse/comment.

not at al because that's not what happened. Everyone knows that Stevenson took himself to showtime at al haymons request to avoid that fight. Same way haymon steered Santa Cruz away from rigo. Just compare their opponents faced and you'll see quite easily which of those 2 would fight whoever and which is trying to milk their title for all it's worth.

Uhhh no Stevenson Left HBO because of money plain and simple. He wanted to fight Kovalev but Showtime offered him more to fight Fonfara. He asked for more and HBO brushed him off so he left.

Also that was Panty cruzs dad not Haymon.

Hey, if Ward's better, and you know the money would be great for Mr Dull Ward, then what's he afraid of? Hunter is full of it. Yvon Michel is dead on. Ward would be a fool to walk away from 2-4 mil... unless he's skeered. You can talk about competition variance if you want, but Ward is delusional if he thinks some promoter is giving him Kovalev money ever again. No promoter can take that big of a hit twice, 3 times. But 2-4 mil is an excellent paycheck, and easy money if he's like you seem to think, better than Stevenson. Ward needs to do a Pac and make that retirement for 3-4 months, come back and fight Stevenson if he's so confident. Or maybe he isn't. I guess time will tell, cuz you know Stevenson will be hounding him more and more.
