Hence, the title of this thread.

I just am dumbfounded that this has happened with 3 different guys.

And it sure looks like even AJ is in no hurry to face the guy.

Has Wilder got the division THAT petrified?

Here is some info on one of the substances Ortiz tested for and how it is used both as a masking agent and for rapid weight loss.

"They are prohibited in and out of competition except for drosperinone which is legal. Diuretics and other masking agents are the fifth in frequency of use drug class by 6.7% of all adverse analytical findings worldwide. The most frequently used substances are furosemide and hydrochlorothiazide by about 30% of all diuretic occurrences."

Blood pressure meds are not something you forget to disclose.

In other words, it looks shady as hell even if it IS a truthful incident.

And BTW, most blood pressure meds I know of you take daily.

test raises BP...pretty much a fact. a PRO athlete has to not only undergo strict physicals, CT scans, etc, etc, but as strict regime of exercise that most people couldn't even do 1/4 of without passing out. If one has ever sparred a few 2-3 minute rds, they know that you have to be in excellent shape to do it.... how da fug does a man doing this have high BP? Barring any medical conditions that would likely keep him from being able to compete anyway? Especially at the professional level.

Yeah, we criticize Deontay with windmill memes and take shots at his resume on the daily.

So why aren't these guys laughing too?

Why are they doing anything but making fun of him, going as far as risking hundreds of thousands of dollars or even millions just to get an edge against a guy that is supposed to be hype, a product of smoke and mirrors?

            Once, yeah.

            Twice, maybe.

This is the third different guy that felt what he had naturally wasn't enough.

What, if anything, does that say about Deontay?
That right hand is likely the heaviest shot in all of boxing, and every camp seems to know it.

The skills are still coming along (the inside fighting is better, and he makes far better use of his left hand and defensive range), but the dynamite is real.

              Good questions.

High Blood pressure and sports are not impossible, but unless this is a condition that just began recently, there should be no way it wasn't common knowledge before since it should have been disclosed prior.

All the jokes about Wilder I see (some of them funny af), yet some guys who should fight him find reasons not to and most of the guys that signed to fight him the last 2 years have been caught cheating.

Again, maybe these pros know something we fans don't.

And I think you are correct about that right hand having something to do with it.

It's because wilder has that right hand that's almost in all cases a fight ender. I'm not a huge fan of his style, but he has fast hands and a long reach which almost always = a big puncher.

I do like Wilder's story about his daughter. He's giving the fight game his all and he already knows he wants to get out soon... idk that legacy or any of that stuff concerns him at all as long as his child is taken care of.

Yep. It wasnt that they exclusively did this only when they were fighting wilder. For all we know They could've been set up so Wilder looks credible without fighting them. I aint seen wilder taking this Whyte fight now because he wil definitely pass the drug tests, who knows ?... not to throw shade at wilder but it is suspect
