Thanks for the advice, I will keep that in mind.

Does anyone want to claim the so called "physical prime" Golovkin is better than the current Golovkin?

They'll ignore this but it's the absolute truth, ggg at his best is right now. He was not ready until his mid 30's, I'd also say Jacobs provided him valuable experience as well, he barely won that fight.

So you guys want to sell us that fighters peak at 35/36...in boxing no less? C'mon...he's a smarter fighter today but at his best? Not unless you have a time machine and bring back his youth and reflexes. Most boxers are contemplating retirement on the early side of their 30's for a reason.

Most elite boxers are already fighting elite competition in their 20's. ggg didn't step up until his late 30's and gained valuable experience along the way.

Do you think the 29 year old version of ggg that struggled with Ouma beats Jacobs?

If he'd taken the beatings Canelo, Jacobs and even Brook gave him early in his career he'd would've worn out WAY faster and someone would've cracked that chin already.

So 29 year old ggg goes life and death with a past it Ouma and is suddenly able to compete with Canelo/Jacobs?

Golovkin was ending his prime around 2-3 years ago.

He has clearly declined hence why Oscar and Canelo took the fight. His style doesn't last long in boxing.

So you're saying ggg in his absolute prime struggled against a severely past it Ouma?

Does that mean 35 year old Ouma beats 35 year old ggg? I mean he barely got passed him when he was 29, how is he going to do it 6 years later?

You can't have it both ways. 35 year old ggg beats Ouma far more convincingly than 29 year old ggg.

                    Styles make fights amigo.

A 35 year old Golovkin is not prime. He did just beat a prime Canelo doe.

What does level of competition have to do with the point you tried to make? The discussion was peak vs deterioration..don't try changing that now because you are wrong. The only point where an athlete gets better as they age is from their teens into their 20's, they peak at 28-32 and then decline. This is life and not just limited to athletes.
