Hughie Fury came up short in his brave bid to wrest the WBO heavyweight title from champion Joseph Parker in Manchester on Saturday night. Fury, the cousin of former world champion Tyson who was at ringside, dropped a majority points decision with two judges favouring the New Zealander 118-110 while the third scored the contest a 114-114 draw. There's fighting on the back foot and then there's just not fighting. Even his jab was a defensive jab aimed at Parker's gloves, not his head.
Anyone can land a counter right occasionally if you're not throwing punches and just focusing on defense. You shouldn't win a fight for shelling up and throwing the occasional counter. At least with Canelo he fired back with combinations and occasionally pushed GGG back.
Hahahaha Parker travels to the UK after Fury b****ed out of the fight in New Zealand, and Parker apparently gets a BS decision according to Fury's promoter?! Now i have heard it all lol!
I haven't seen the fight yet but I can call BS when I hear "shades of Ali" type of shit thrown out there..
Fury worked on the back foot the whole fight, flicked out jabs that for the most part didn't come close to landing even on gloves, and hit Parker with a clean shot coming in maybe 10 times the whole fight.
Meanwhile Parker, a plodding poor man's Alex Leapai, was landing body shots and power punches. The power shots were always glancing because Fury was moving away 100% of the fight, but Parker threw more, landed more, and landed the bigger shots.
Easy fight to score, hard to give Fury more than a few rounds, but honestly I was expecting them to rob Parker and I guess Furys people were expecting the same.
To be completely honest I had fury winning in a shiiithouse fight, but I can see how Parker got the decision.. Parker couldn't land anything, fury wouldn't throw anything significant..but hughie deserves this for the **** they pulled not wanting to fight In nz after duco won the purse bid...

Evading punches and making your opponent miss as many times as Hughie Fury made Joseph Parker miss is actually an art and should be appreciated. Anyone who knows boxing should understand this. How do you think the great Muhammad Ali beat George Foreman in Africa? The fact is the Fury family are hated by many in the UK and they were always gonna get robbed. Tyson Fury had to go to Germany to get a fair decision against Klitschko a fight he won using the same tactics as Hughie Fury. It's a disgrace really.

Ali threw punches and knocked Foreman out.
It's a disgrace for you to even make this comparison.
