Why Was Maidanas Dirty Fighting Applauded???

In his first fight with Floyd Jr??? The majority of you all had him winning the fight and he fought dirty as hell and was urged on by his trainer to fight dirty... But now that one of the greats of our time is retiring all we see is threads complaining about how dirty he was from the same posters who took this stance?

Harry Greb was dirty but great as were alot of the greats were... Henry Armstrong, Muhammad Ali, Jack Dempsey, George Foreman, etc all had dirt in their arsenal... Whats the big deal?

          Double standards.

When people like a boxer, they justify and rationalize everything they do.

When they hate a boxer, they criticize everything he does.

The big deal is that their favorite fighter isn't seen as the best of pfp best so they have to accuse someone of something. When an inferior fighter uses all of his skill to win...even fighting dirty, it's looked upon with respect. When Floyd uses his elbow against Maidana to combat the illegal tactics, do they even talk about Maidana's rough house tactics? No. How do I know? All the talked about in the Maidana rematch was how they thought that Floyd was stunned in round 4 if memory serves, lmao. Castillo fought dirty and all they talked about was Floyd's elbow.

That's why I leave everything up to the ref to keep things fair. Most refs are competent and don't allow **** while others allow **** and just let them fight. Either way those kinds of fans will always cry or have some sort of weird criticism or excuse to say what they say.

I hate to bring up the race card but that's the reason for the hypocrisy.

When Maidana was dirty it was "Wow he's so aggressive and rugged!"

When Ward landed a low blow or held and hit people said "He only wins because he's dirty". It's total hypocrisy and I don't think Ward was a dirty fighter. It's just that he was always fighting on the inside so there was bound to be head-clashes and sometimes holding and hitting. I remember an interview with him where he said he doesn't want to do these things but if the opponent does it he will do it back. Which I think is understandable. Obviously it's not why he was successful, that's total BS. It takes a lot more than that and Ward was a complete fighter.

People also didn't criticize Maidana for being dirty because he was doing it to Floyd and obviously a lot of people hate Floyd so they just wanted to see him lose. Didn't matter if the guy bit him, threw muay-thai style knees or whatever. It's Floyd so he got a pass. People knew he was dirty and breaking the rules but they didn't care.
