Yeah, I ignore all of the insignificant pieces of a great fighters career. My point stands-outside of boxing internet forums, Ward is a respected fighter and isn't seen as dirty. Unintentional headbutts and accidental lowblows have never defined a HOF'ers career. Can't see that they would for Ward.

Of course if you are convinced they are "Golata" like, well it would seem you have an agenda.

But if you really feel that way, I'd love to hear a win that GGG or Kovalev have that is as good and convincing as Ward-Froch that people deride as a win over a 'hype job'. It's not enough to just say that's what other posters would do, show me some reason I should buy that.

He beat the best fighters of his division then moved up and beat the best fighter of that division, plus a solid win in Barrera to boot. Granted that many felt Ward lost the first Kov fight and Barrera was inexperienced at the time.

It strikes me as wild that anyone can call that 'underachieving'. Can't even imagine what it takes to achieve then.
Froch was his career defining win. But, he fought dirty and for whatever reason, Andre got away with that style when referees knew full well what sort of fighter he was. There are sacred cows of boxing, those who can do no wrong and never get penalized or DQ'd, Ward is one such fighter.

I would rate GGGs wins over Jacobs AND Canelo higher than Ward's wins over Froch, Kessler and Kovalev. First Kovalev fight was a robbery, rematch was disgraceful display of Ward's status as sacred cow who can low-blow his way to victory and come out smelling like a rose.

did you watch the video black panther? the only time I saw guys hold like ward did is when they were out on their feet. Kessler would have beat ward easy and ward knew it so he fought a very dirty fight to survive. so would have Bika beaten mental ward and Bika is black so don't pin that bigot s h it on me

I will make my pint this way.

If Kigali made a thread saying GGG would be remembered as a slow footed bum you'd all call him a racist and think he was ******ed. If Larry, pbc, me and a few others came in and agreed you'd be killing us, and rightfully so.

Yet in this thread you cosign the TS who is suggesting Ward, who has never been dqd and has a great reputation will be remembered as a cheater, ducker and "head butter".

                Just doesn't make sense.
