Ahh, the twice yearly thread where posters that hate Floyd make Paul Williams out to be a fighter he wasn't. The thread where they talk about Williams attributes but not how he actually fought. The thread where we only focus on the fights he won but not his whole career including the fights he lost.

Once again Floyd loses to a guy that he didn't fight.

I guess posting about how Floyd loses makes some people feel better.

Maybe one day these guys will give Floyd the credit he earned.

Just wish you guys discussed the real paul williams and didn't elevate him when the subject is a Floyd fight. Then again, every fighter gets ridiculously elevated when you guys discuss them fighting Floyd.

Larry may be overbearing but at least his threads are honest and factual.

If Floyd would have hesitated to fight this guy it would only be due to his notoroious hand injuries.

When you fight guys that big you need to be able to put everything behind your punches to keep them at bay and you need volume.

Floyd decreased both his volume and the force he puts behind each punch in order to preserve his hands over the course of his fights.

In the Judah fight he had to punch through the pain in order to get the victory, Ghost and Marquez were ready to go but he had to let off the pressure a little because his hands were hurting.

Baldomir was ready to go but Floyd had to fight the last three rounds with one arm (literally, he was literally using just one arm for the last three rounds, go watch it and see for yourself).

Against Carlos Henandez Floyd took a knee because of a hand injury in the fourth round, and fought the rest of the fight in the southpaw stance because he had no choice due to the pain in his right hand.

Just imagine how tough as nails you gotta be to have the kind of career he had with the kind of hand issues this guy had.

Nobody here is elevating Williams, and he was in Floyds division to boot, and he presented a style matchup that would have been interesting to see

Williams too big, too busy, too strong.

                Mayweather cant handle that.

Yes you are. PWill didn't fight his height. He was notorious for fighting in a way that negated his height.

When talking about PWill people bring up every fight except Quintana 1 and Lara. People also forget to discuss Martinez 1 where the 3rd card was 119-110 while the other 2 were 114-114 and 115-113. Sound familiar?

Most of you act like Margarito was how he fought his whole career.
