For the first time in Golovkin's career he's going to have to fight all three minutes of each round..... for 12 HARD rounds

that fight will be tense..... Golovkin is going to miss a lot of punches, and he is going to cop a lot of those nasty bodyshots..... let's see how those 36yo legs look down the stretch

most historians don't care about that wankery

" lineal " is mostly a fan thing

Trinidad > Canelo, at this point

he had better beat Canelo if he wants to be remembered

IF Golovkin loses to Canelo, his legacy will be.....
      * a good win over the limited puncher Lemieux
      * going life and death with Danny Jacobs

whys that? Does all the rest of his wins go out of the window if he loses on saturday night? It would be a setback but hes still beaten top quality fighters. It would mean canelo was a truly special fighter if he wins, not that golovkins some bum whos been exposed.

Is Cliff Rold BPP? Or is BPP even just one guy?

No disrespect but this Rold cat writes the most waste of space articles I've ever read on BS that have lil to no redeeming qualities & go nowhere so he is either running this site or has sex vids of the person who is. Its like some anti-writers block just writing to say any sorta thought you can get out there articles this guy almost always seems to be writing.

Why are you still adding a year to GGG's age?

You're supposed to be pretending he's in his 20's and scoffing about excuses from his fans if he loses now.

All that "GGG is over the hill" stuff ended as soon as he signed to fight young Saul.

What top quality wins does he have besides Jacobs who a lot of people thought really beat him? Maybe Lemieux I guess, but that guy got beat and knocked out by Marco Antonio Rubio of all people. He's beat a lot of C/B- fighters.

Golovkin needs to win but Canelo's gonna win, by hook or by crook.

Nothing wrong with people wading in with what they hope happens Saturday, but anyone stating a clear expectation of events may as well just sign off as 'fanboy of......'

Only way one of them gets an easy win is through tactical errors from the other. They both prepared too well to walk into things they shouldn't (but still could happen I guess), but the real question is 'who has the best chance of forcing the other off their game plan'.

Golovkin's power comes into play when he lands often and he gets an accumulation. Canelo's defence and hand-speed is such that he could equal Golovkin's damage output, particularly to the body, so the 'Golovkin power' factor could be negated over the first 6.

Late 6 stamina comes into play. Canelo has youth on his side, but a history of tiring, plus he carries weight he hasn't had to carry before, plus he will indeed have to work 3 minutes of every round. But Golovkin will also have to work 3 minutes of every round, and much will depend on what Canelo has managed to land to Golovkin's body by then as to the 'who's the most tired' equation.

Late fight they can both be expected to start landing more, and could go either way. If it goes the distance, main factors in fight will be:
                    1) Golovkin's jab over first 6
                    - Canelo needs to get past it to get to Golovkin's body
                    2) Stamina late on
                    - if Canelo solves (1), he's on for a points win

Good post. Canelo has never been in there with a guy that hits like Golovkin. If he can manage to neutralize GGG's power defensively he might have a shot. If not Golovkin will walk him down and everyone on here knows the rest. May the best man win.
