the more I read these articles the more I think it becomes obvious. Think Hopkins Pavlik. Everyone and their mom was suggesting Hopkins would get destroyed. Pavlov a great puncher at the time. coming off some great wins. Hopkins out boxed him. Clearly GGG is better than Pavlik but Pavlik still had the better resume. Fought better opposition. It just feels like Canelo can box this dudes socks off. I know GGG fans are a bit emotional. Rightfully so. This is their mans first REAL fight against what is sure to be a HOF career. This idea that GGG let jacobs in the fight is the outright dumbest thing I have heard yet. Lets face it. He's a great one dimensional fighter. He's very good at what he does. If he loses , then yes, all the hype for this guy will be lost. if he wins, he will be remembered proper. Deservedly so. Hats off to both champs for signing up.

Yes we know Canelo's resume.. lost badly to Mayweather, was extremely lucky to beat Lara, decisioned an old Mosley and Cotto. Defended his title once against glass jaw Khan.

Golovkin gets a lot more credit if he wins Canelo than Bhop got for beating welterweight Trinidad and Hagler for beating lightweight Duran. Canelo is the lineal middlewight champion right now and he comes from a fight at supermiddleweight.
