Going from 0 day cutoff to 14 days was not a compromise. That was saving face from every scribe saying he was just going thru the motions acting like he wanted a fight but not committed making a fight happen.
The Pac's did the exact same thing as the Floyds the way you talking: they sat down, they offered and counteroffered, and neither side could come to an agreement. I respect the Pac's for not budging on the 24 days cutoff. If Floyd was too scared to get the ring with the little guy with a 24 days cutoff, which I thought was cool, thats his problem and I know none of you Floyd boys would check him on that.
At least Roach admitted it. Too bad you wont. I'm glad you respect Manny for refusing to fight.
In the end, karma! An ESPN fight, from Australia, against a school teacher, with no PED testing either.

floyd is low to no-risk, high reward reward man admit it...the pattern has been established a long time ago...
fought pac when the risk was at its absolute lowest, same with cotto, shane, and no way you can sidestep conor mcgregor for a sanctioned 50th fight, a guy with a record of 0-0.Last edited by djtmal; 09-14-2017, 03:59 PM.

[QUOTE=Boxing Goat;18045887]Floyd was afraid of prime Manny otherwise he wouldn't have insisted on ped testing. There is video of him actually admitting to this. To that there really is no way to dispute it.[/QUOTE
Floyd was never afraid of Pacman. This is something that folks who were not fan of his never figured out. There was no reason for Floyd to be afraid. What he was was very aware. Most fighters lost a little something as they moved up in weight. Manny looked like he was stronger and more dangerous. I mean the guy that got dropped by Nedal Hussein and was being manhandled by Agapito Sanchez was now running through Hatton, DelaHoya and Cotto. Three guys that Floyd respected. He thought something was up. A clean guy calls his bluff takes the test and runs through him too. But instead we heard some many excuses. It was just bizarre. Floyd signed for the fight in December, why would he ever think Manny would refuse to take the test?
But that's all history. This scared narrative made Mayweather the richest fighter ever. It helped him and hurt Manny.
Most people say that Floyd waited for Manny to get knocked out for the fight to be made. They completely ignore that it took Floyd to look vulnerable against Maidana for the fight to be made.

floyd's track record of low-risk, high reward fights makes it hard for me to co-sign to any of that..quite simply, he just waited guys out...the vacation after hatton and the cautious matchmaking after that should be proof enough...

Ployd as much as I've wanted to see him dropped & stopped fights good... Slick.. I got 8 years slinging in my youth...
Nobody taught me slickness..
Floyd love the money... Slick and smart I stopped betting against him after the Castillo rematch... The is the fool I love to hate... But objectively can sling and avoid em.
