Correct me if i'm wrong in the first bout w/ Cotto, Margo wasn't smiling coming forward & that was at 147 lbs. In the 2nd fight i believe it was held at Jr Middlewgt, I mean Cotto looks clearly much smaller than Margo in the 2nd fight. Hence my theory.

maybe thats because cotto fought pacquiao, maweather, canelo and lost, casual fans only see big fights, and saw only cotto lost.
that's why many guys think he is kinda b- class fighter.it's kinda sad.. but real fans know this mofo is tough..
Cotto is a hall of famer, he is a top notch fighter. There is middle ground between being a bum, which he never has been, and not being at the top.

I never understood all of the hate or criticism towards Cotto. He's a solid fighter, always gives his all in the ring. Took some severe beatings from Margo and Pac, regrouped later on in his career by hiring Roach to train him and found his second wind. But of course, it is mostly the casuals who are not true boxing fans, only fans of one particular fighter, who disparage Cotto's career.

to be fair every time i watch cotto in a big fight against a decent opponent he loses, and often loses badly. margarito, mayweather, trout, pacquiao, canelo.

i think it's because cotto is very soild, accuate puncher but his punching speed is kinda aveage, and lack of combination.

do i think cotto hits harder than pacquiao?yes, i think even he hits harder than mosley. but to make people ko, we gotta hit them with fast speed so they can't realize what they hit.

cotto's punch is kinda punch thet make people give up, but not ko. and when his opponents are moving forward him, he doesn't throw combination like manny.

Cotto would retire Conor for good.

Maybe. Connors only hope would be to submit Cotto. And I don't know how the hell connor would ever get close enough to choke out Cotto. I see Cotto doing to Connor what he did to Martinez in first round without Connor getting out the first round. Cotto is much stronger than Connor, substantially so.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You're obviously not a fan of both sports. Cotto wouldn't know how to defend against kicks, elbows, awkward punches, and other stuff.
