If the promoter that wins the bid had to give the TV money to the fighters why would he bid? He wouldn't earn his money back. Use your ****ing brain.

Because its not ****ing true. You can repeat bull***** every day for the rest of your life but repetition doesn't make it less bull*****. There is no way in hell Canelo fights on PPV without getting a cut. Purse bid or not.

Golovkin is not experienced enough, fast enough , powerfull enough plus he has poor defense & he can't fight off the back foot. He will get out boxed & KO'd. Jacobs is no Erislandy Lara , CANELO will break him down and put him down and out, similar to how CANELO KO'd Kirkland , which is the same exact way Jacob's got KO'd by Pirog.

After seeing how SHTY Peter Quillin look against Dashon Johnson (22-21-3) I'm beginning to wonder how good Jacobs really is???

Maybe it had something to do with the two-year lay-off?

Reyesdelboxeo stick to making boxing gloves, you might have a clue there LMAO.

Danny Jacobs was bigger, more athletic, had a longer reach and hit harder than Canelo. AND HE LOST. Canelo is going to be a much easier opponent. Canelo likes to counter but GGG likes fighting guys who let his offense get going. Canelo has always been troubled by jabs and GGG has a hard and accurate one that he uses to set up his offense. GGG is no Kirkland. GGG hits harder. GGG knows how to use his jab to set up his offense. GGG knows how to cut off the ring. GGG is bigger and has a longer reach. GGG can take big punches. GGG has been active and GGG isn't the headcase Kirkland is. Canelo has not proven he can fight hard for 12 rounds without gassing. GGG has.

Canelo is going to get beat down.

For fuch's sake. Are you seriously so goshdarn ignorant about boxing that you think fighters don't get a portion of the PPV?

If you don't believe me here is a quote from Juan Manuel Marquez.

Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez is raining down some criticism over the Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) being offered a 'flat fee'

Marquez agrees with Golovkin's position of demanding a percentage deal. He feels a flat fee offer, for such a lucrative fight, is another way to avoid the contest. He says Golovkin is being offered a low deal, so when he rejects the money then Canelo can claim the middleweight king was not interested in the fight.
What does the Marquez opinion have to do with purse bids? Bottom line, if Mayweather Promotions wins the purse bid over K2 and GBP, they wouldn't have to pay either fighter ANYTHING but the purse money they bid. All revenue above the purse would be Mayweather Promotions to keep. That included ppv revenue, gate revenue, sponsorship revenue, etc. A promoter doesn't win a purse bid and then negotiate with the fighters how much EXTRA they are gonna pay them.

Why would you expect Quillin to look good? This fight was literally spur of the moment for him and his opponents. At least his opponent had been sparring.

Your logic would make sense if Jacobs used is legs to move all around the ring and his reach advantage to keep Trip at bay with a jab. That was NOT how he found success.

Canelo fought a lot of catchweight fights. When boxing historians write their articles, books and make their lists of ATG's that will count against him. The fact that he tried to drain Golovkin down to Canelo weight to fight for the middleweight title, called Golovkin out in the ring but then gave up his title rather than fight him are all blots on his reputation. Personally I feel if Canelo didn't bring so much money to the fight G should just ignore him and unify. That would essentially freeze Canelo out of the Middleweight title picture. If he wanted to fight G after that he would have to submit to Golovkins terms unless he is a mandatory. Canelo soon won't make 154 without draining himself. The handwriting is on the wall and Oscar knew it. That why they are fighting now. Canelo beat Cotto yes but he was clearly on the downside of his career. Other than Cotto the biggest name he fought was Mayweather and he lost badly.

So Canelo isn't drained and GGG is???

Didnt you post many times Canelo is BIGGER than GGG and comes in like 185lbs???

You sure do lie a lot.
