Comments Thread For: Golovkin: If I KO'd Jacobs, I Would Not Be Getting Canelo Fight!

Canelo had to fight Golovkin if he wanted to be taken seriously. His fans were irked over him ducking Golovkin and refusing to bend in the weight issue. He tried draining Golovkin but that didn't work. If Golovkin won the last belt and unified then Canelo would have to fight him or move back down in weight. Canelo needed this fight for his legacy.

Now after the Jacobs fight how much are they offering GGG? So before Jacobs it was we are only going to pay you so much after its oh well we'll give you so much more... Seems to me they like their chances more and are willing to open up to pay for the chance at the title.
it was rumored to be 15mil, but no idea if that is true
it was definitely 8-figures

Canelo is about as confident as you can get
he does not look/sound reluctant at all
he sounds over-confident if anything, Hoya made the same comment

The haters don't care. They hate Golovkin so much that the little intelligence they have goes out the window. Golovkin the MW should be fighting anywhere but the MW division.
Here's the thing they hate. You look at Hopkins career up to the Tito fight and Golovkins career up to now and they are in very similar situations excluding the RJJ fight. A fight which was between two fighters who were top notch prospects. Hopkins didn't get his big props until the Tito beat down. He heard the same arguments about the MW division being weak and he didn't beat anyone. There's a reason he opened as a 3-1 underdog vs. Tito and it wasn't just that Tito was considered great. Tito had been exposed by DLH as completely beatable.
They also ignore the fact that Hopkins spent longer at middleweight (roughly 15 years) than GGG's spent as a professional boxer (11 years). It took him 11 years to get Felix Trinidad into the ring and then another 3 years to get De La Hoya. He didn't permanently move up to a new weight class until 16 years into his career.

Jacobs would also dominate Canelo. Both guys would punch the red dye out of Canelo's hair.
CANELO has faced better fighter's already.
Golovkin is not experienced enough, fast enough , powerfull enough plus he has poor defense & he can't fight off the back foot. He will get out boxed & KO'd. Jacobs is no Erislandy Lara , CANELO will break him down and put him down and out, similar to how CANELO KO'd Kirkland , which is the same exact way Jacob's got KO'd by Pirog.
CANELO #1 P4P & Ring Lineal Middleweight Champion soon to be Undisputed
