Kov doesnt listen to the guy,
wont pay the guy what was contracted,
but its jdj fault?
jdj was a boxer, he's gonna retaliate, fight back. So Ward was right about everything regarding Kov, but WARd was wrong? Just like may vs pac, turns out Floyd was the one telling the truth.
back to Kov situation: He wants jdj to work hard and not pay him? is it in their genes....

He's probably speaking the truth but JDJ comes out of this looking worse. He was happy to still work for him and take the money and then talk **** about him once he no longer works for him? - I don't buy his loyalty to Main Events excuse either. Is just makes him look like a snake. If i was another boxer, i probably wouldn't want him to train me if he's happy to take the money get considers jumping ship the the opponents camp.
He's probably right in all that he says though.Last edited by TheBigLug; 09-07-2017, 08:27 AM.

WARd went up in weight class, faced the undefeated champion, who was the most feared guy in boxing and beat him twice, made him quit, took his belts and ended his career......his fans are cry babies just like him

In their first fight Ward went to his body and he slowed down, initiated a clinch 70+ times when they got close, then came to the second fight with his trunks up to his *******, dont you think Ward saw this and knew kov was trying to cover something up... his vodka gut. Remember J Prince saying they "cracked his code" body shots. But you forget that right hand to kov's jaw that had kov starting to do the russian stanky leg (it was stiff) It wasnt a Khan or Judah type but he damn sure intro'd his version. LMAO

of course these crazy azz posters are going to find a way to blame JDJ for everything lol what a bunch of losers. If the fighter doesn't want to listen or work hard its his fault. you guys claimed for years kov was this monster and the best thing going, that was with JDJ as his trainer, Now that hes gotten his azz kicked ur making every excuse in the world... but now look at ur comments now that the truth is coming out about this classless human... a totally classless and tacky pathetic group of people!! u all post daily about how others are classless with no proof but here is the proof and for some reason ur protecting the guy! good fighter but u can tell hes a terrible guy to work with. THE TRUTH THUG!!!!!!!!!

A little bit of reason should allow common sense to make an appearance, like sunshine on a windowsill, except for people like Daggum who live in very grimy palaces.
My first question would be: what is the motive for this trainer to speak about the situation? Its obviously a risk...he knows that other fighters will be listening and judging. He must have a pretty strong belief in what he is stating and his right to say it. He may feel that he is being slagged by Kovalev. Why would Kovalev slag him? You don't blame your trainer for losing a fight! Yet we know that Kovalev much like mrs Clinton thinks his problems are due to the inattention of others, the ref, the trainer, etc...
This trainer seems reasonable in his motivation and description. I mean after an acrimonous split if a man yells that his former wife slept with the entire nation of Bali, and she only slept with the high caste members of society... thats hyperbole! but what we get from the trainer is very specific critiscism, with examples and Kovalev's actions in the fight seem to back it up., speaking of...
My second question would be, what about the actual comments? do they make sense? The trainer is giving a possible interpretation for what stopped the fight. When Ward went on the attack, Kovalev dropped his arms to protect his body, he seemed really intent on protecting his body... what was strange about that sequence of the fight ending is that Ward, who is usually very flexible in approach, seemed intent on going to the body and Kovlev intent on blocking the body. So it makes sense that Kovalev was not enjoying (lol) getting hit to the body. And dismissing all of the punches as low is ridiculous, maybe a few of them were, but Kovalev certainly looked ready to stop fighting.
Its easy to dismiss this guy as disloyal, but who will look out for his enlightened self interest if not himself? I think he has a right to speak about this fight considering it has passed.
